Advantages: Softens, smoothes, non-oily, lasts ages Disadvantages: Not strong/rich enough for badly dry or chapped skin
To say that stacking shelves for a living plays havoc with the skin on your hands would be a major understatement. After just a few weeks I found that as well as all the cuts I had on my hands, the skin on my hands was feeling quite dry. A few months later, my hands looked 10 years older! They were so dry and chapped that certain areas, such as the skin between my thumb and forefinger, had actually turned white! Not only that, but the skin was also starting to feel quite uncomfortable and itchy. So I decided to try and make sure I used a handcream every time I washed my hands, especially at work, in the hope that they'd become soft and smooth again! I've used various handcreams in the past, but never found one that I wanted to stick to, so I went looking online for a new one to try.
The cream I decided on was Korres Sweet Almond ...
Advantages: Unique pakaging, smells nice, perfect size for handbag and leaves hands smooth. Disadvantages: Quite expensive.
You might not of heard of Korres but they are a company based in Greece. All their products are silicone free, mineral oil free, propylene glycol free and not tested on animals and completely natural.
I choose to buy this handcream because the pakaging looked nice and I had heard good comments about it from my friends.
What I liked about this product is that the lid is quite cool. You can still keep the lid on but when you squeeze the tube the cream comes out of a small hole at the bottom. So you don't have to worry about getting cream all over the tube. It's unique and I have never seen anything like it before.
It's non oily, leaves the hands feeling soft and look noticeably nourished. It contains Sal tree butter and olive wax, which both help to retain moisture. The cream has also fed my cuticles and the sides of my nails ...
Advantages: Moisturises well, lasts a long time Disadvantages: Fragrance, price
Hi,
I am a L'occitane fan through and through, but am afraid to say that this handcream is spoilt greatly by it's scent.
It has a sweet scikly scent, rather like honey and lemon cough remedies. I wish the lemon part of this had been left out, as the honey range used to be so much pleasanter.
However, the handcream is very good. Quite rich in consistency, and moisturises hands very well. I do feel it makes my skin feel sticky, maybe the honey I don't know.
A little goes a long way, and a small tube used daily does last a very long time.
As with all L'occitane products, they are not cheap, and I personally will not be buying this one again. Mind you it is the only L'occitane range I do not like. ...
