Advantages I found a beautiful shop
Disadvantages it was not called Kreate and Make
On a visit to family in Newbury I searched on the internet to find a local craft shop in which to spend some time. I found a review for this shop called Kreate & Make and could not wait to visit such an amazing sounding place. Image my surprise and disappointment when I found that the shop no longer existed. In its place was a games workshop. Not a rubber stamp or 12x12 paper in sight!!
All was not lost, though. The guy in the game shop pointed me in the direction of a fabric shop around the corner, in Inches Yard, called Calico. It is a gorgeous shop with some beautiful fabrics and wools - unfortunately not what I was after, but non-the-less wonderful - and the lady in there (I think her name was Sandra) pointed me in the direction of a fabulous shop, on the way toThatcham, called Flutterby Crafts (there is a website for the shop) where I had a fantastic time, found the most amazing collection of scrapbooking papers, rubber stamps & embellishments and, this is the bonus, I was able to indulge my love of beads (they have a fantastic collecton of Toho beads!).So if you are looking for a craft shop in the Newbury and Thatcham area look no further than Flutterby Crafts!!
