Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

...all over the US. Krispy Kreme are most famous for their traditional glazed ring doughnut. This is actually my favourite, it is plain but simply the best. The dough has such a light consistency that it basically just melts in your mouth. Other doughnuts often taste quite chewy and heavy to me but these are just so light. Krispy Kreme opended its first branch in the UK about 2 years ago with much fanfare. They have been around in the US and Canada for some time, and have gained cult status over there. My US based family used to rave about it and I never knew what they were talking about until one day I read one was opening in Harrods.
