Disadvantages cord length

We have had our Krups Coffee Mill now for over a year and it is really something we bought as a luxury item but like so many other gadgets we have around the house, we could not now live without.

It looks sleek and modern and stylish on our kitchen work surfaces and blends well with our kitchen decor. It cost us £18 from a cookware store and it has been money very well spent.

It has a great sharp twin blade made of stainless steel which chuck around and then chop up the coffee beans. You can have it at various density depending on how you prefer your beans to be ground. For example, add your beans and press down the button and keep depressed for around 8 seconds for coarse beans, about 10 to 12 seconds for medium ground beans and then anywhere between 16 to 18 seconds for finely ground. The choice is yours!

It will make up to 15 cups of coffee in one go! It is very impressive and it is something we use every day as we do love coffee in our house. It is 160 watts and is a powerful little machine but is quite noisy when it is in full operation but then you don't have to keep it switched on for too long so it's not that bad. We were very pleased with the safety mechanism on this machine as it will not work at grinding until the lid is locked fully into place.

It is particularly helpful because there is a useful viewing window so if you are not sure how finely your beans are being ground, just lift your finger off the depress button and you can have a look to see how they are getting on - then, if you need to grind some more then just depress again. Simple and easy!

This gadget is also particularly useful because we use it to grind our herbs and spices as well as our coffee beans. It is terrible to keep clean though and do not get the beans or anything else you are grinding wet if you can help it or you will be there for ages trying to brush out all the little bits.

The only other gripe we have with this is that you have to have it plugged near to a socket as it has a silly sized cord which is far too short.

Overall though a great machine and we can really recommend it.
