Advantages: Easy to use, speedy Disadvantages: drinks pods a little expensive?
The DolceGusto is quick, clean and simple to use. The drinks come in pods which are inserted into the machine, the water is then boiled but it only boils what it needs for the drink. The DolceGusto makes excellent coffees and other drinks. It can also make cold drinks, i.e cappuccino ice (At the time of writing this is the only cold drink available). There is a reasonable range of hot drinks on offer and my recommendation would be the cappuccino which is surprisingly good. A possible downside for some people could be the price of the drink pods which retail at £2.99 for 8 drinks (16 for espresso). On the whole though I would say a very worthy addition to most peoples kitchen. ...
Advantages: The machine is extreamly easy to use and maintain. Good variety of pod flavours. Disadvantages: When heated to full temperature the water does not seem to be very hot.
I recieved the DolceGusto coffee maker as a christmas present 2 years ago. I have used this machine regulaly, my favourite drink being the chocochino! When using the machine I found making the drinks quick and easy and extreamly clean. I had been put off coffee makers in the past because of the amount of mess they make and maintenance they need. I was therefore, extreamly happy when I purchased the DolceGusto machine.
Alongside the plus points I have noticed that my drinks are not always very hot from the machine but if you run a little water through before making your drink the temperature increases.
In my opinion the pods are reasonably priced and there are now a selection of flavours on the krups website. Unfortunately the manufacturer no longer sell the mocha variety of the pods which I was hoping to try.
Overall I have ...
Advantages: Easy to clean and maintain. Great tasting coffee. Bit of variety in the drinks. Disadvantages: Pods are expensive. You have to measure the water out manually.
