This is another high quality Espresso and Cappuccino maker from one of the world's leading manufacturers of espresso coffee machines.
This ultra-compact and extremely easy to use machine can be operated, literally, at the touch of a button to produce many of your favorite drinks such as Cappuccino, Espresso, Latté, Hot Chocolate or even Lungo (Long coffee).

The design of the XP 7240 means that it is ultra compact with an easy to use bean to cup system and an integrated, multi setting conical burr grinder for uniform results and quality flavour and a 15 bar high-pressure pump ensures perfect aroma and very impressive flavour extraction - all of these features make for an even more intense coffee experience.

The XP 7240 even has a 280g hermetically sealed (airtight) transparent coffee bean hopper to store fresh coffee beans ensuring that their full flavour is preserved right up until the moment when you need their intense aroma. Not only this but it also automatically ejects used coffee grounds - making for even easier cleaning.

Krups have used their own Compact Thermoblock technology for a high speed, perfect temperature with fresh water being used for every cup with greatly reduced scaling. The XP 7240 also possesses an automatic rinsing, cleaning and de-scaling program and is fully integrated with a Claris water filtration system - ensuring purer tasting coffee and further reduced scaling all for a much longer machine life.

This compact machine has an auto-cappuccino steaming arm with a stainless steel milk container. The easy to use touch and turn dial makes things extra simple (useful when its one of those mornings) and the programmable LCD graphic display control panel is extremely informative, making it extremely easy to personalise your choice of coffee, as well as an abundance of other settings. It also alerts you to any required maintenance.

The XP 7240 comes with a transparent 1.8 litre removable water tank with carry handle and from this tank you can make 14 cups of excellent quality coffee without ever having to re-fill (at which time the XP 7240 will warn you that it needs filled). It has an adjustable coffee dispenser and a selection of interchangeable nozzles under which there is also a removable drip tray with overflow indicator. It has 3 adjustable water temperature levels, so that you can always make your coffee just right. You can make 1 or 2 cups in one go - and for those busy mornings in the kitchen there is even a cup warming tray.

Every XP 7240 comes with detailed pull out maintenance instructions and easy step by step guidance for cleaning and care - although virtually everything you need to know can be located on the machine via the LCD control panel. The XP 7240 is environmentally friendly with an automated on/off system.

All in all, this is one of the most compact bean to cup machines that I have seen. The many features, extra settings and built-in coffee orientated systems make this a connoisseur's dream and the LCD screen, metallic finish and robust design make it the most modern piece of equipment to inhabit your kitchen. I would certainly recommend this fantastic piece of equipment to anybody who asked.
