...is far away. I'm not one to complain, you should hear my washing machine. To me the most important feature in a kettle is how it pours. And, this kettle pours very nicely. Both slowly and quickly there are no drips. The spout is quite big, so allows for quick pouring. There is a removable filter which is also washable. But I think every kettle has these now. With measurements of 9 1/2 inches in height and 8 1/2 inches in width it looks quite a small kettle, so would fit into most kitchens. It is made of stainless steel which I don't normally go for, as I think they are harder to keep clean, but we'll see how it goes. In summary this kettle is certainly good value for money. The website is www.rowenta.com. This site lead to www.rowenta.co.uk. The site was very corporate in feel and efficiently built. It was basically a guide to all of Rowenta's products. There were no dancing hamsters or anything like that. FEATURES The kettle purchased was a Rowenta Cosmos Model No KE 401. The design was quite elegant i.e. a little Kaiser-like. The colours available were white and grey. The cord was long enough for far away sockets. The length of the cord was adjusted by winding it under the base. ...!) but it does exactly what it says on the tin - if you give it two slices of bread, it will toast them for you, and do a good job of it too. The only problem I can think of would be that maybe larger pieces of bread won't fit, as there are no fancy adjustable gaps. But as I've only used it in Switzerland, and they seem to have different sized bread over there, this hasn't been a problem for me. And now onto the important stuff - what do you get for my money?! A nice friendly 2 slice toaster with an easily removeable crumb tray. There aren't many fancy settings - it can toast, defrost or reheat, and that's your lot. The buttons are all pretty obvious, which is a very useful feature early in the morning! There are 5 time settings, and I tend to eat pretty skinny bread and number 3 does the job for me, so I reckon maybe number 4 should do... Read review
