I've been with Kwikfit for 2 years and never had any cause for complaints. That's because I never made a claim - just paid the premiums.
Big gripes: My renewal quote included the premium breakdown service and had I not noticed it, I would have been charged for something I don't want. Furthermore, my actual quote was some £40 more than the quote I got from them online.
My second gripe is that when you need them, they aren't bothered about helping you sort a cliam out. My car was damaged while parked so I phoned them to report this 3 days after the accident. Some 2 weeks passed before I phoned them again only to discover they had done nothing. The actual insurance company was Fortis and I had to phone them myself to arrange that the case move forward. Albany Assist are crap - no assistance in helping me claim against the guilty party, who I had given details of to them. I had to submit a quote which cost me £35 as well.
My advice - insurance directly with a proper insurer - not a broker, which is what Kwikfit are.
