Kwiksave (Window Cleaner)

Advantages: Non messy cleaner, smells quite nice
Disadvantages: Still leaves occasional smears, particularly if windows are especially dirty.

...I would like to join in this debate on the usefulness or otherwise of Mr Muscle window cleaner by saying that having tried a number of window cleaning products over a number years, Mr Muscle is the best of a bad bunch. Most window cleaners leave smears. The sunnier the room – the worse the problem. I think the best way to clean windows is still soap, water and one of those window gadgets – BUT – its so messy, especially on a cold day. Its difficult to avoid trickles of water dripping everywhere. Its so much easier use Mr Muscle window cleaner to clean the odd window, especially windows such as my patio window. This window doubles up as a back door and receives a lot of mud and bashing around by my husband and the dog. My husband complains that the chemicals in Mr Muscle products are environmentally unfriendly. No further... Read review

...Morrison's Window Cleaner Tried this a while back for cleaning the car windows with as well as some in the house, didn't specifically go out to buy it just went to the shop and bought a cheap one to try as I don't normally do the window cleaning, it was a bargain for under a pound. So though it must be worth a try, nothing to loose at such a good price. So gave it a try firstly on the house windows, it went on really well and cleaned the windows just like it's suppose to, was quite hard to get off again but still did they job. Then tried it on the car it was rather cold outside and all though it cleaned the windows it was really hard to get off again seemed to be affected by the cold or maybe because car windows have a lot of grease and dirt that they pick up off the roads. ...This product from asda promises so much, yet gives so little when you get it home. It's very cheap, but then it doesn't do much - typical of asda products in my experiance. I found it really difficult to get a good shine on mirrors & glass as it smears so much. I used different cloths to try and help it, but to no avail. I ended up using a lot of this product on a few windows, so much so that it would have been better for me to buy something more expensive of which i'd have used less. It doesn't really smell that great, and to be honest i use water & vinigar - which is so much better and almost free. Just mix 1 pt Vinigar with 9 pts water and spray onto glass - perfect results. Very bad product which i shall not buy again.... Read review
