I received this perfume as a present. Kylie Minogue is a very successful Australian singer who has also done a small bit of acting. She has also recently beaten breast cancer.
The box for this perfume is very pretty and eyecatching. The front has a light lilac/pink shimmery hologram effect with some white floral decor. The name "Kylie Minogue" is in bold black text and "Sweet Darling" is wrote underneath in purple text with a written scrawl look to it. There is a photo of Kylie on the back and her signature in purple.
The bottle is very pretty to and looks nice and feminine. The glass is a lilac colour and has a pearlarised, frosty look to it. Despite the glass not being clear you can still easily see the level of the liquid inside. Another reviewer describes the shape of the bottle as being like a flattened apple with the top cut off and I think this is a pretty good description. It is a shape that fits easily into your hand. The lid is a black rectangular shape which comes off to reveal the spray top.
The whole look of the box and the bottle is something that is very feminine but also sophisticated.
I would describe the smell as being sweet but quite musky at the same time. This to suggests it is aimed at both young people and those older. In fact you could say it is amied at the same age range as Kylie's music may appeal to.
It contains top notes of passionfruit and freesia. Middle notes of boronia and cotton candy and base anotes of sandal wood, patchouli and vanilla.
The smell pretty much lasts the whole day and as the smell fades the vanilla smell is what is most prominent.
