Advantages: Fast, Reliable, Easy to Feed paper Disadvantages: It doesnt fit into standard computer desks,
...After my negative last printer review, I’ve decided to review another of our collection. The Kyocera FS 680 is my personal favourite. Which is a strange thing to admit under the circumstances!! About a year ago while in the process of finding new printers my boss suggested this one, to which I recalled what the hell is the point in buying it…We need A3 minimum and definitely something capable of printing colour. My boss inevitably ignored my comments and headed straight out to purchase this.
Incredibly this printer has since become a god send. Although only able to print A4 and black and white, this printer consistently chugs away day after day without a glitch. Before I launch into a buy now buy now speech I’ll tell you the features of the printer and let you decide!

Advantages: Very reliable, low cost per page Disadvantages: None
...is more than any other printer in that class. Black toner cost around £55, color around £80.
Standard paper feeder has capacity of 500 sheets (60-105g/m2, A4, B5, A5, Letter and custom 148x210 to 216x356mm), manual feeder takes up to 100 sheets (60-200g/m2, A4 B5, A5, Letter, Legal, Custom 70x148 - 216x297mm).
It has unique type ceramic drum (Kyocera patent) which makes it last lifetime of printer. It makes maintenance much easier job (no need for drum replacing) and significantly reduces cost of printing.
It's maximum average duty cycle is (according to producer) 15000 pages per month, although it can take much more.
It has wide range of accessories improving its (already impressive) performance: duplex unit (a must have in office environment), three additional paper feeders (each takes up to 500 sheets), power envelope feeder, hard...

Advantages: Quick, Cheap Disadvantages: Not the best printout
...I had always owned expensive to run colour inkjet printers, but noticed that the majority of my printing needs were just black and white. The time had come to buy a laser printer.
I had used Kyocera Mita printers for a number of years at work and was aware of their cheap running costs, mainly because the ceramic drum has a life of around 150000 pages, thus making it effectively a fixed part of the printer. I fully expect to buy a new one when the drum itself fails. Due to this long life drum the toner cartridges are cheap (about £45 each with a life of around 4-5000 pages).
The quality of print from this printer is average and at a resolution of 600dpi. It is certainly good enough for nearly all basic usage. Printing pictures is not recommended though because the printer does show some banding across the page. Personally I run...

--How does it look?--
It’s basically a large, beige cube with four little indicator lights on the top. It is split into three sections; the top section is where the printed paper comes out, the middle section houses the toner, lets you feed sheets of... more
