The FS-1600+ features a 50/25 MHz microprocessor and provides enhanced network connectivity capabilities with support for SNMP, allowing the printer to communicate with other SNMP-compliant systems and software. Kyocera's Network Interface Cards, which can support up to 10 network operating systems simultaneously, allows the FS-1600+ to connect with the most popular local area networks. With multiple port sensing and switching, the FS-1600+ easily connects to more than one system at a time. Ideal for power users and small workgroups, the FS-1600+ offers a customized paper handling system to deal with everything from the simplest paper sorting and stacking to the most sophisticated printing tasks. Options include two 500-sheet paper drawers, a 2,000-sheet Industrial Paper Handling System, a power duplexer, and a sorter/stacker/electronic mailbox for organization and efficiency. The FS-1600+ comes complete with 43 scaleable barcodes, the Kyocera page description language Prescribe II, and a PC slot for storage. This makes it ideal for almost any printing application you can imagine.
Advantages: Very reliable, low cost per page Disadvantages: None
...drive, compact flash memory, high capacity output tray.
Kyocera has one more ace in its sleeve - drivers. Imagine that they developed one super-driver for all printers/copiers they produce. That way once you installed any Kyocera printer, you can add more and don't care about driver; it's already there.
And now from my experience with FS 5030N.
We use 5030DN models (network interface plus duplex unit). No problems what so ever. Never failed. Installation is dead easy, just like with the rest of Kyocera products. Paper jams are very rare and in most cases are human related (average user can't understand, that you are suppose to put paper into tray neatly, and not just throw it in). Great, economic color printer forworkgroup use....

...After my negative last printer review, I’ve decided to review another of our collection. The KyoceraFS 680 is my personal favourite. Which is a strange thing to admit under the circumstances!! About a year ago while in the process of finding new printers my boss suggested this one, to which I recalled what the hell is the point in buying it…We need A3 minimum and definitely something capable of printing colour. My boss inevitably ignored my comments and headed straight out to purchase this.
Incredibly this printer has since become a god send. Although only able to print A4 and black and white, this printer consistently chugs away day after day without a glitch. Before I launch into a buy now buy now speech I’ll tell you the features of the printer and let you decide!
Compatibility:
This printer as with most is compatible...

...with the installation, the website does have a section in it's help pages to assist you with the printer set-up.
--Price--
You can buy the FS1010 for about £200. It puts it down at the cheaper end of the Laser printer scale but the cheapness doesn’t hide a lack of quality.
--Cartridge Cost--
We can buy our cartridge (TK-17) for £46 from our supplier and according to the manufacturer it will last for about 5,000-6,000 sheets, which works out at an extremely cheap 0.0092p-0.007p per sheet. We use the printer mainly for producing very wordy letters which increases the ink usage and reduces the pages to about 3,000 per cartridge (0.015p per sheet).
--Online Support--
Kyocera has a very comprehensive UK-based website which provides a lot of information on each of their products, including where to buy, cartridge costs etc. It has a support helpdesk...
