...The FinecamS3 by Kyocera Yashica is one of the best value digital cameras on the marke, and I should know...I work in a camera shop!. The front of the camera is the size of a credit card and boasts an amazing 3 megapixel ccd and 2x optical zoom. The finecam has a movie mode to take bursts of video and is supplied with rechargble batery and card reader. The camera stores photos on the brand new MMC/SD format widely used in new digital cameras, MP3 players and mobile phones. This camera is currently selling for around £450 and is supplied with a leather case, 16 and 32mb memeory cards. All in all this is an excellent little camera which takes superior quality prints, I can't fault it.........well done Kyocera....

Advantages: Good image quality, small and light. Disadvantages: Battery life, pop up flash, shutter lag and memory card size.
...I bought the KyoceraFinecamS4 in November 2003. It was my first digital camera and being my son was due to be born soon I thought it should be a good quality one.
After looking around to see what I could get for around £250, I found the FinecamS4 on offer. I liked the look of it so decided that I would give it a try after being told that it took very good quality pictures. So what do you get in the box:
The 4 Megapixel FinecamS4 Camera
16MB Panasonic Secure Digital (SD) Card
BP-900S Li-ion rechargeable battery
AC Adapter / Charger
USB and Video cables
Wrist strap
Pixela ImageMixer software
Manual and Quick start guide
The camera itself falls into the category of 'micro camera'. It measures just 3.8 x 2.2 x 1.2 inches and sits very easily in your hand. And if that wasn't enough it weighs in at a measly 175g. It is...

Advantages: Picture Quality, Ease of Use, Small Size Disadvantages: Auto Focus in Dim light, Slow to write to memory
...that makes Contax cameras.
I do have 2 main niggles with the camera.
1. The autofocus is not very good in dim light and by that I mean indoors.
2. the camera can be slow (especially after being used to 35mm SLRs) to take multiple pictures (up to 5 seconds between shots) due to the time taken to write to the memory card. I suspect this is common of all digital cameras. This is especially noticable after shooting a video sequence.
Overall extremely pleased with the purchase and would buy another Kyocera Camera, except for the fact that the S5 is so good, I probably won't need to for a long time....
