Use this genuine Kyocera hard disk drive to boost your printer's performance. A built-in drive provides Kyocera printers with additional advantage of storing data locally, which is a reliable way to enhance productivity and eliminate network overload.

Standard paper feeder has capacity of 500 sheets (60-105g/m2, A4, B5, A5, Letter and custom 148x210 to 216x356mm), manual feeder takes up to 100 sheets (60-200g/m2, A4 B5, A5, Letter, Legal, Custom 70x148 - 216x297mm).
It has unique type ceramic drum (Kyocera patent) which makes it last lifetime of printer. It makes maintenance much easier job (no need for drum replacing) and significantly reduces cost of printing.

This particular hard-drive has a USB 2.0 interface, which is basically the type of connection the hard-drive uses in order to connect to an external device, usually a desktop PC or laptop. A USB 2.0 interface means that the transfer of all files to and from the hard-drive will be fairly quick. Another factor, which speeds up the transfer of files is the buffer size. Buffer size put into simple terms is a region in the hard-drive where data is held temporarily, before permanently entering the hard-disk memory. The buffer size of the LaCie external hard-drive is 8 MB, this means that a maximum of 8 MB of data is temporarily held before being fully transferred into the hard-drive. Ok so it`s light weight and looks good but can it compete with the other drives out there for functionality? Well the simple answer is yes it can and very well too, this drive is not only a good looker but also a very good performer. It connects to your PC or laptop via USB and needs no external power supply. It has a Data Transfer Rate of 480 Mbps which is up there with the best and has the following system requirements, Windows 2000/XP/Vista - Pentium II - RAM 256 MB
MacOS X 10.1.5 or later - PowerPC G3 - RAM 128 MB.
This harddrive includes patent pending Drop Guard feature to withstand the toughest of travel environments. I can vouch for it`s durability due to having a nasty accident with mine in which it slipped from my grasp and found itself tumbling down several carpeted stairs and ending up with a thud...

i had a freecom external hard drive i was looking for another external hard drive
So i went to pc world and saw the toshiba it was much cheaper
nice bit of Kit but it failed after 3 months so i lost all my backup i e mailed toshiba found them not... more
