Advantages: Fast, Reliable, Easy to Feed paper Disadvantages: It doesnt fit into standard computer desks,
...of the unit. To open the tray there is a moulded ergonomic handle which is easily pulled open. The tray then opens out infront of the printer and holds approximately 60-70 sheets of 80gsm paper. The printer feeds the paper from the back of the tray up and around the rollers, so if you are printing on coated paper of any description or something double sided then the side you wish to print upon needs to be laid face down. The paper loader never fails, a definite plus point of the printer! Only time it seems to stop printing in fact is when the drawer is empty!!!
Performance/Print Quality
I give the printer top marks in this department. It is more than capable of running huge print jobs of 200 plus sheets without any failure. The speed of printing a sheet varies according to how much information is contained on the sheet. For a sheet...

Advantages: Very reliable, low cost per page Disadvantages: None
...is more than any other printer in that class. Black toner cost around £55, color around £80.
Standard paper feeder has capacity of 500 sheets (60-105g/m2, A4, B5, A5, Letter and custom 148x210 to 216x356mm), manual feeder takes up to 100 sheets (60-200g/m2, A4 B5, A5, Letter, Legal, Custom 70x148 - 216x297mm).
It has unique type ceramic drum (Kyocera patent) which makes it last lifetime of printer. It makes maintenance much easier job (no need for drum replacing) and significantly reduces cost of printing.
It's maximum average duty cycle is (according to producer) 15000 pages per month, although it can take much more.
It has wide range of accessories improving its (already impressive) performance: duplex unit (a must have in office environment), three additional paper feeders (each takes up to 500 sheets), power envelope feeder, hard...

Advantages: Good value for money. Quality output. Fast. Disadvantages: The paper tray jams. Not very user friendly.
...This is the printer I use at work. It is a fairly standard entry-level, mono laser printer, with one major drawback - the paper tray. It costs around £250 and is reasonable value for money.
Cartridges are reasonably priced at around £60 (after all these are the most expensive part of running any printer) and last for a long time.
The print quality is excellent and output is fast. However, the printer is noisy in operation and the buttons are very flimsy and small. Lights flash when there is a paper jam or other fault, but no other indication is given of what is wrong or how to fix it, which can be frustrating.
The big problem we have with the printer (in our office, they do tend to be used heavily) is the paper cartridge. It has an annoying tendency to jam, and the printer often says that paper is jammed in the machine, when it...

A while back I stayed at the fabulous Malmaison in Birmingham's Mailbox as a treat for my birthday. A so called "boutique" hotel (whatever that means), it is one of the few places I have stayed at that thoroughly deserved it's 5* rating. And so, on with... more
--How does it look?--
It’s basically a large, beige cube with four little indicator lights on the top. It is split into three sections; the top section is where the printed paper comes out, the middle section houses the toner, lets you feed sheets of... more
