... Now that I have my LAKS memory watch, all that worry has gone away.
Let's do the math as to how much the 64MB (one of the lower capacity versions) can hold. Let's say an average 3 page essay is 32KB. There are 1024KB in a megabyte. So 1024 divided by 32 is 32. 32 X 64 = 2048. This watch ... Read review

The LAKS memory watch requires no prior driver installation on most computers and works best with Windows XP. Almost all computers also support a USB connection, so that is not a problem. However, I did find the built in usb cable rather short and I have to take off the watch to plug it in - the watch could do with an extendable cable that uses a wind-up mechanism. Nevertheless, once the watch is connected to a computer (which ...

Advantages: File Storage System and Analogue Time. Disadvantages: Not entirely waterproof.
~~~~: General Watch:
This LAKS USB Memory watch definitely goes into my good books for sure! With its neat adaptation to the standard USB Memory sticks it can also, conveniently, tell the time in analogue. The watch itself needs only a few accessories to operate on any computer. The watch basically consists on it telling the time and storing files.
Advantages: Transfer computer files with ease. Tells time too! Disadvantages: A bit nerdy. No date on function watch.
Admittedly the Laks memory watch is a bit of a gadget - but it has some serious benefits and personally having got used to it I wonder how I could go back to any other way of transferring computer files.
Currently available in 32MB, 64MB and 128MB configurations; this watch is a combination of solid-state USB flash drive and watch. The drive is attached to your PC using the ... ...discretely slips into a groove in the watchstrap and a protective cover slides over the USB connector.
The beauty of using this for transferring computer files for me has been that instead of having to remember to pick up discs or my USB flash memory drive I just strap on my watch and my files are with me. With no installation required on most modern operating systems copying files to and from the watch is a simple matter of moving the protective ...
Advantages: hold your important documents on your WATCH. Disadvantages: the buckle on the strap scratches. No Date, MINE HAS BROKEN AND LOST THE DATA
I have had the watch for around a week and don’t know how I lived with out it. I went for the 128mb capacity I think they are available in 32 – 64 – 128 – 256. When I bought it I was looking for a usb drive and found it. I had a digital watch before but I find this is much clearer. I bought mine from E buyer. When it arrived it had an extension lead so you don’t have to hang the watch next to your USB, luckily my laptop has a usb on the side and ... ...carry my whole portfolio on it which is a large file. You may find the 128mb only has 124mb I think this is to hold the plug and play files on it. With windows XP and 2000, Me and most new OS it opens as soon as you plug it in. MY MEMORY WATCH HAS BROKEN LOSING COURSE WORK DATA THE DAY BEFORE HANDING IT IN, THEY ARE NOT AS STRONG AS YOU THINK, THE USB WIRE CAN BREAK WITH USE, I KNOW OF ANOTHER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, I CONTACTED THE COMPANY BUT HAD ...
What is it about Rolex watches? They cost obscene amounts of money and yet they don’t keep time as well as a five quid quartz from down the market. In truth they are an anachronism, a throwback to a different world. One where cheap quartz watches... more
