Manufacturer's product description
Simplified configuration management for networked PCs Intel LANDesk Configuration Manager is the most comprehensive solution available for the migration and/or installation of operating systems and software applications within desktop environments. By providing easy-to-use graphic interfaces and an administrator-defined set of standard PC configurations, Intel LANDesk Configuration Manager effectively creates, deploys and manages PC configurations from BIOS to application installation. Intel LANDesk Configuration Manager enables IT personnel to automate the deployment of Windows NT or Windows 95 operating systems and their companion 32-bit applications, with just a few keystrokes. Administrators can define and manage multiple sets of their own standardized desktop configurations and deploy them over the network with minimal interaction at the client PC. LANDesk Configuration Manager configures your existing legacy PCs, as well as your future PCs, independent of brand name.

Advantages: Simple to use once configured. Disadvantages: Takes a little time for the complete novice but not to difficult to learn.
...Zone alarm has been the staple diet for freebie software user for many years. Thier free firewall has been downloaded millions of times and is very stable. Although frightening to see how many hackers have had a go at your computer it is reassuring knowing that you have help. The complete suite provides just that including protecting you against viruses, spyware, phising, etc. Takes a little getting use to but the start up wizard help. Anyone familiar with the their firewall will be completly at ease with the suite. Although some of the anti-theft features are US only it shouldn't put you off as these are only a tiny part of the package. Once configures it is unobtrusive and reassuring. There is a 15 day trial from the website if you want to have a go first. All in all a top package....

...WOW is all I can say, after being advised by an expert about which is the best software to use for antivirus protection I always got directed to Norton. I first used norton antivirus 2004 and this was great, it found all viruses that even I was surprised I had on my PC and offered free updates for a whole year. So come the new year I wanted better and I got it with Norton AntiVirus 2005 11.0 and this is even better. I recently found 527 viruses on my PC thanks to Norton.

This package comes with again the free updates until 2006,
