Advantages: 1080p, HDTV Disadvantages: different angles prevents screen visibility Samsung 2333HD A 23inch LCD compact tv, with a built in freeveiw that gives the consumer and extra 30 channels than an average anolog tv. Having been with a Toshiba for a while, i decided to buy from elsewhere. I was reluctant to buy an LG, as my friends had told me of their experiences with LG's poor sound quality on many of their products. After looking around, i found this and decided to risk it. The sound quality was good, but not great. if you set the volume too high, then it starts to sound a bit metallic, but after owning a Toshiba I was very used to this. great monitor, does what you ask of it Advantages: matt screen reduces glare Disadvantages: annoying 'touch on' feature This monitor does everything I need it to do. I use the monitor as an external monitor for my laptop and it works very well. I had been worried that the constant connection and removal of my laptop may cause problems, this has not been the case. I had heard that the monitor was prone to shake on a desk, but this is most certainly not a problem, as the stand is in fact very stable. ViewSonic VA2216w - Great value 22" monitor Advantages: 22" size, stylish design, great low price Disadvantages: No DVI socket, not perfect picture ...different models, I found the Viewsonic VA2216w on offer for about £110 including VAT. This seemed great value for a new 22" widescreen monitor, perhaps the quality would lack? Impressed by what what I'd seen, I ordered it promptly. Viewsonic are monitor specialists so one would imagine they make good quality products. Friends and family of mine are quality connoisseurs and prefer brands like Iiyama, Sony and perhaps Samsung, but I like to find the ... ...packaging, I was really impressed by the external design. The monitor is built with black and silver plastic and is quite thin and lightweight, the plastic border of the screen is narrow. The bezel stand is also black and is fairly sturdy yet inconspicuous, allowing up and down angle movement. Samsung SyncMaster Sells Seashells on the Seashore Advantages: Shiny and flat with clear images Disadvantages: 24" is a big monitor ...ugliness. Then I found the Samsung SyncMaster 2433. It was a whopping 24” but had that all important 1920 X 1200 resolution. Plus, it passed the pretty test. Black glossy and curvaceous, the Samsung ticked a lot of boxes. I was sold. So sold in fact, that I ordered 2. Oh yes. When they arrived they needed a minor amount of self assembly. This might seem odd, but the base of the stand is quite wide, presumably in order to support the precious screen. ... ...sorry for you, but luckily Samsung has a kinder heart and provides beautiful illustrations to guide you through this and the rest of the set-up process. So kindly are they, in fact, that they even show you how to disassemble your new toy. Once the new beasts were fired up, they didn’t disappoint.
