Philips 190S7
Review of Philips 190S7FS by gaycunttom666

Advantages: Great Quality, Suited to almost all uses, Space saving
Disadvantages: Initial retail price

Overview I have owned this monitor around 6 months, and to be honest had NO intentions to ever purchase it (needed spare monitor, got good deal with pc parts) but it has proved to be a very good piece of equipment. It is a simple 19" TFT from a leading manufacturer with a max resolution of 1280x1024/75hz and 8ms reponse time which is more than adequate. Compatibility It is plug and play compliant within windows, and shipped with a driver cd containing ...
...both are largely unneccisary) Within Windows XP and Vista ultimate (128mb graphics) the image is clear and crisp with no real setup/configuration required. The monitor has outputs for both DVI and VGA, which means your upgrade ready should you be considering changing systems, whilst maintaining compatibilty with your current setup. Exterior and Quality This model is sold with 2 colour options, Silver and Black, although this doesn't affect functionality. ... Read review

Great Looking Philips Monitor
Review of Philips 170C7FS by shonalaing80

Advantages: Really good looking, good value for money.

Smart looking screen with good perfomance
Review of Philips 170B7CS by MoltenJules

Advantages: Stylish, guaranteed free of pixel faults, perfomance
Disadvantages: Needs some cable ties to keep cables from untidying desks

I read a few reviews and was rather impressed by what was said. The screen is well thought out, is guaranteed free of dead pixels. I bought three of these for use in a customer's office. Their requirement was for a good looking screen that performed well and at reasonable cost. I believe that this screen met these targets. The integral stand is sufficient but it looks so much better if a designer arm is used. The silver casing lightens its appearance ...
...that seems to be the norm for TFT screens. The integral speakers are OK for office use and heps to maintain a clear desk which can be important in a modern office. It has not been used for gaming but for office applications where its image has been very stable and showing good colour range and brightness. Documentation and drivers cover everything that you need to know and whilst screens are not difficult to install there was no problem here. ... Read review
