I bought this for two reasons, one to replace my existing 15" Proview monito and the second to run my Xbox 360 on in High Definition. The high contrast ration and the 5ms Black to Black refresh (2ms grey to grey) looked like it would ideally suit high definition gaming, especially with the native resolution being 1680 x 1050 so almost 1080p resolution. I have spent my christmas money on this monitor. Looking at its clarity in the store made me decide to go for it. Getting home and taking it out of the box, I was pleased with the way it was protected against knocks and bumps. Plenty of cover over the screen to stop scratches. When I got its base fastened to the screen it was then I realised how heavy it was. It sits nice and firm on the desk. The tilting mechanism works great although a bit tight ...
