Simplicity Itself
Review of HP Pavilion F1523 by
flumpet
Advantages: Sharp clear image, digital photo's look great.
Disadvantages: The inbuilt speakers are functional but tinny quality.
...it was nearing discontinuation. It has since been discontinued by hp but is still available from some online stores, I have seen it advertised for £277.99 and would not pay that much. It has been advertised new on ebay recently for £75.00, absolute bargain I would say. ...

A very worthy 15in TFT monitor - big visible area
Review of HP L1502 by
pinkelephantuk
Advantages: A clear screen and a handy carrying handle!
Disadvantages: None to report yet
...Code: P9617D Product Description: HP L1502 - flat panel display - TFT - 15" Device Type: Flat panel display / TFT active matrix Colour: Silver, carbonite Dimensions (WxDxH): 35.6 cm x 19.1 cm x 34.5 cm
Clarity is good. I have not had any problems with viewing images. Watching video clips is good, with animation being good, and video images of people, such as dvd clips, being good also. I do not use this monitor to watch films, but use it at work, ... ...dvds.
The unit itself is attractive - it has a silver front, and is supported by one plastic arm which has an oblong/rectagular base, which I would estimate is about 6inches by 4 inches in size. The flat panel itself can be tilted upwards and downwards to suit your viewing height. The flat panel, viewed from the side is not exactly 'very thin', I would say about 2.5 - 3 inches in thickness, but this doesn't seem particularly unreasonable, compared ...

Has Its Ups and Downs
Review of HP L1520 by
Babyblade710
Advantages: Good Image Quality
Disadvantages: Stand And Base A Little Flimsy
The HP features a large base, and the display is fixed very high-only the Philips stands taller, and only when it's in portrait mode. The display can also be tilted back a fair bit, but won't tilt forward very far. It is also one of the heaviest displays-the chances of it tipping over are very low. The base has a neat handle so you can easily carry the display around. This monitor has single DVI and VGA connectors. The display quality was quite good ...

Good Quality, Bad Value
Review of HP Pavilion F50S by
Puurfect
Advantages: Good Quality Visuals, Speakers Included
Disadvantages: Expensive
The HP f50s monitor is a liquid crystal display (LCD) 15-inch, high resolution colour pc monitor.
HP Pavilion F50s, is an excellent monitor and I have been using mine without problems for over 18 months now. I bought mine from PC World as part of a whole computing package but understand the price to be around £250. The whole design of the monitor looks rather bland but compared to other monitors this flat-screen type was much more convenient and ... ...watching Video's or in fact TV which most computers can now play the quality is not noticably different than a widescreen tv.
The slim, lightweight profile adds to its portability. Capable of resolutions of 1024 x 768 this simply means the F50s lets you view more data and applications simultaneously on screen.
Buttons on the front of the monitor let you quickly adjust brightness, contrast, and other general settings, or auto-configure the unit ...

I may have been converted...
Review of Compaq TFT 1501 by
Velocity
Advantages: Clear and crisp image, stylish
Disadvantages: only at 1024 x 768 res.
...However turning round this 3kg compaq TFT is no trouble at all so the on screen serial display just serves to mock the inadequacies of my CRT. Display
The colour is beautifully clear and crisp, but only at the one resolution of 1024 x 768. At 800 x 600, this monitor does not perform very well and the picture is noticeably fuzzy. This goes for all TFT monitors though, in that they only have one optimal resolution they work at; which is my major gripe ... ...CRT at 1024 x 768 despite being a 19” just because I like everything bigger and less of a strain on the eyes, I like the CRT’s flexibility to accommodate this. But to be honest this TFT is so easy on the eye that multiple resolutions aren’t required. And after a day in the office looking at this TFT most of the day, and then coming home to my CRT, I can really tell the difference on how much less strain on the eye it is, despite owning a very respectable ...
