Advantages: Excellent value for money, small, light, neat and stylish
Disadvantages: Slightly hard on the eyes in prolonged use

I bought my GNR TS501 on Ebay for £69 plus P&P so I really had nothing to lose in the price department. It's outstanding value for money and works well! Having used it for a few months now, it is sometimes a bit hard on the eyes. Maybe I should try to look away every so often. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this screen as outstanding value for money. Readily available discounted because of its small size, but really who needs more than 1024x768 ...
...do much worse than the GNR TS501. The narrow bezel (narrowest available I believe) means that you can gang up two monitors with only a 16mm blank space between them. Because it's so inexpensive, this monitor opens up a world of possibilities - second monitors, duplicate monitors for video projection etc - that weren't possible even a few years ago. ...if you have a problem, GNR will come to your door step and swap it - cant be bad! I also like the integrated speakers - you cant see them because they are in the back - again no more external speakers so loads of desk room. The battery supply is also integral, it takes a kettle lead that plugs in the back, I dont know how they got this so slim but the picture quality is great! I have spent my christmas money on this monitor. Looking at its clarity in the store made me decide to go for it. Getting home and taking it out of the box, I was pleased with the way it was protected against knocks and bumps. Plenty of cover over the screen to stop scratches. When I got its base fastened to the screen it was then I realised how heavy it was. It sits nice and firm on the desk. The tilting mechanism works great although a bit tight ...
