I had my company buy this flat screen to take care of a couple of different problems: First, I had no room on my desk for a standart CRT monitor and second, I couldn't keep staring at my laptop screen for 8 hours a day. I bought this monitor because I didn't have room on top of my rolltop desk for the older conventional monitor I had. I had to sit sideways on my chair to look at the monitor and use the keyboard at the same time. Anyone with a space constraint would love this monitor. The speakers in it aren't great though. if you are going to purchase this i would definately advise you to keep your old speakers, becasue they are probably better than the built in ones, you can just turn these ones off. I have spent my christmas money on this monitor. Looking at its clarity in the store made me decide to go for it. Getting home and taking it out of the box, I was pleased with the way it was protected against knocks and bumps. Plenty of cover over the screen to stop scratches.
