...display does not pivot. The viewing angle loses contrast pretty quickly when moving left to right in front of the screen, but I found text to be very legible, even at small point sizes. Straight out of the box, and without adjustment, the LCD1770NX display had a distinct blue cast, most noticeable in gray areas of an image. However, I was able to achieve a good neutral gray and accurate color using the manual calibration controls on the front of ... Read review

NEC MultiSync LCD1760NX
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1760NX by Chrisb_9

Advantages: Small footprint, easy to set up
Disadvantages: Not as clear as a CRT

...web, I plumped for the NEC as being the best all rounder (as well as being one of the black ones which matched the rest of my system. I've now been running it for over a year and am still very pleased with it. The display is clear and sharp and doesn't suffer too much from reflections. Although some complain about the viewing angel, once it's set up and in place I never had any problems with it. I would definitely recommend this product. I also ... Read review

A fine monitor
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1860NX by aleksengland

Advantages: Flat screen, big screen size
Disadvantages: -

This monitor is truly excellent, because it is very clear, adjustable and has a very high-resolution. It is 17'', which means that it is fairly big. The monitor does not take up a lot of space at all, because it is flat screen. It definitely works with Windows xp and probably with Windows 2000 and 98. The monitor is digital and the resolution can be chosen from 800 by 600 pixels, 1024 by 768 pixels and 1280 by 1024 pixels. I personally use 1024 by ... Read review

Good monitor, but not up to current standards.
Review of NEC AccuSync LCD71VM by dm275

Advantages: Good colour reproduction, fast response time.
Disadvantages: Looks ugly, built-in speakers are not very good.

I purchased this monitor a couple of years ago, and it arrived with one dead pixel. Despite this, the monitor is quite good - It has a quick response time and good colour reproduction. The monitor was well packaged, with all the required leads and cables, along with an instruction manual. The manual itself is not brilliant; it's somewhat sparse when it comes to information about the monitor. Also, the provided drivers are nothing special, and can ...
...quite good a few years ago, it's no longer up to current standards. Only buy if you're after an "average" monitor. Beware of dead pixels when purchasing, and be sure to check the dead pixel policy - Some places will not swap out monitors on the basis of dead pixels. ... Read review
