Super Picture Quality but few connections
Review of LG W2452T by
danny1876j
Advantages: picture quality, sleek design, screen refresh rate
Disadvantages: no usb, or Speaker out. some pointless functions
Firstly...
The Screen quality is superb whether being used on my Xbox360 ( needed to purchase a xbox360 to VGA Cable, under £10 on ebay.) or as my monitor to watch movies on. Refresh rate is fantasic and is up there with the best monitors available.
Secondly....
It looks Amazing. sleek black finishing with the blue Power button looks great, and the mojnitor itself isnt heavy and quite thin. The Base was simple to put on, which was a delight because ... ...had to report to the manual.
However...
i was dissapointed that despite paying over £200 for a monitor it did not have a USB port, a Headphone/speaker out port. And i feel that the market grabbing touches such as FUN mode, and EZOOMING were a bit pointless. Almost as pointless as being able to change the picture tone to Sepia, monochrome and gaussian blur. Why anyone would want to do that beats me!
Finally....
this is a fantastic monitor that ...

LG L1919S
Review of LG L1919S by
sukerman
Advantages: Cheap ish, bright, probably very good for film / games
Disadvantages: No DVI, speakers, poor colour accuracy, not good for work
...was going to buy two LG 19" for the same money as they seem to have the best contrast ratio, so hopefully the sharpest picture. Having said that.... I believe the 1400 and 2000 LG claim on their monitors is 'contrast enhanced' or something and not a true ratio. I had a Hanns G from argos currently £99 as the cheapest they sold for a test. It was very good, but I thought I'd swap it for the £150 L1919S to see what it was like before buying a couple ... ...The picture on the LG is very bright and in your face, text isn't as clear as the HG. Colours are very bright but not very accurate. Light grays can hardly be seen. As a web designer I need accurate colours and I know what #EEEEEE should look like. On the LG its so faint its hard to distinguish from white. Not good. The HG was much better in this regard. Looking at the stars below in the rating for this review the stars can barely be seen.

As Good as it looks
Review of LG L1760TR by
UK55
Advantages: Very sleek, Great picture, excellent interface, and easy to set up
Disadvantages: Tilt a bit stiff, and it it has DVI-D rather than DVI-I (just a small thing)
It's difficult to know how to review a monitor, since they are all pretty much the same. I can tell you, however, that this is pretty much perfect.
Sitting on the desk, It looks great, it's a doddle to set up, and is even easier to ajust. You can switch between inputs with one button, and it has a neat feature that lets you select preset picture modes for doing different things, like watching movies.
In terms of picture quality, it is the best ... ...is brilliant, and the picture responce is super- fast.
The DVI port in addition to the ordinary VGA port is a definate bonus, although its not quite that simple. Apparently there are three types of DVI connections: DVI-A (Analogue), DVI-D (Digital), and DVI-I (Both). This has DVI-D, which is good, but DVI-I would be nice, so I could connect something like a games console ar a dvd player without an HDMI socket.
Other than that the only complaints ...

Its Fab To Watch Corrie in HD!
Review of Samsung SyncMaster T240HD by
scotlandizdabest
Advantages: Fantastic Picture And Price
Disadvantages: Took 3 People To Put The TV On The Bloody Stand!
...over.
About It
The Samsung T240 HD is a flat screen TV which has Freeview built in, as long as you are able to access it in your area. This TV is fantastic if you are wanting to update your older one, and because of the Digital switch over that will be happening around the country, it will then save you buying a new freeview box as well. It is also HD ready which means you will be able to plug in a Blu-Ray player, PS3, Xbox 360 or any other ... ...originally going to buy a Samsung TV. We were going to stay with Sony as that is really what we would usually buy. We were always pretty loyal customers. We went to the local Dixons which has 100's of TVs on show. What was proven was that Sony was not a big player anymore. The Samsung appealed most because of the quality. It was next to a LG which wasn't as good as the Samsung. But the size of it is we, at 24" is really big. Dixons showed it off ...

HP w1907v Monitor
Review of HP W1907v by
kindlyraccoon
Advantages: easy to use/set up. Widescreen. Built in speakers.
Disadvantages: Not enough base on sound
I have spent my christmas money on this monitor. Looking at its clarity in the store made me decide to go for it.
Getting home and taking it out of the box, I was pleased with the way it was protected against knocks and bumps. Plenty of cover over the screen to stop scratches.
When I got its base fastened to the screen it was then I realised how heavy it was. It sits nice and firm on the desk. The tilting mechanism works great although a bit tight ... ...I would of licked it to adjust upwards aswell, but for the price its good. A 19 inch wide screen is definatly good for watching movies with. Connecting it up to the computer is with the VGA socket (the blue multi pinned one) and no other one is there so one thing to think about when you buy it. The cable is supplied with the unit though.
The nice thing about the power cable is it does not have a mains dropper on it. You plug straight into the mains ...
