This monitor was a major jump for me, as my old Hansol CRT had nothing wrong (aside from being bulky, using lots of power, and being ugly compared to today's flat pannels). The HP w1907v is a great quality widescreen monitor, but it isn't without a few minor problems. I brought my Samsung 931BW LCD monitor around 5 months ago and after doing a fair bit of research (mostly PC reviews) I brought this one from currys for just under £150. Previous to buying this one I had a very old CRT monitor. The Samsung synmaster 931bw is a 19 inch Widescreen with a 1440x900 resolution producing 16.7million colours.
