Good, but may need a repair!
Review of Sony SDM-S75D by
ElaineStone
Advantages: Clear display
Disadvantages: Card in the monitor broke after 1 month
This screen is a nice large size for working with small images (drawing programs, lines of code, or regular computer work). That really reduces eye strain.
To get the best picture, you can turn up the frequency the image is refreshed (using Windows XP, you can find that under the control panel, display, settings, click the adanced button, monitor, then choose the highest number of Hz you can from the drop-down box).
Sadly, my brand new monitor ... ...it just wouldn't take the signal from my lap top (I'd had it about a month). I checked the cables, I checked my computer, and the technical support person said the card in the back of the monitor had broken, which was very disappointing.
Apparently, there is a warrenty on the monitor, and someone will come to pick up the broken monitor for repairs and lend me a new one in th mean time.... good thing I had a spare monitor because they still haven't ...

...over.
About It
The Samsung T240 HD is a flat screen TV which has Freeview built in, as long as you are able to access it in your area. This TV is fantastic if you are wanting to update your older one, and because of the Digital switch over that will be happening around the country, it will then save you buying a new freeview box as well. It is also HD ready which means you will be able to plug in a Blu-Ray player, PS3, Xbox 360 or any other ... ...originally going to buy a Samsung TV. We were going to stay with Sony as that is really what we would usually buy. We were always pretty loyal customers. We went to the local Dixons which has 100's of TVs on show. What was proven was that Sony was not a big player anymore. The Samsung appealed most because of the quality. It was next to a LG which wasn't as good as the Samsung. But the size of it is we, at 24" is really big. Dixons showed it off ...
