Philips 190S7
Review of Philips 190S7FS by gaycunttom666

Advantages: Great Quality, Suited to almost all uses, Space saving
Disadvantages: Initial retail price

Overview I have owned this monitor around 6 months, and to be honest had NO intentions to ever purchase it (needed spare monitor, got good deal with pc parts) but it has proved to be a very good piece of equipment. It is a simple 19" TFT from a leading manufacturer with a max resolution of 1280x1024/75hz and 8ms reponse time which is more than adequate. Compatibility It is plug and play compliant within windows, and shipped with a driver cd containing ...
...both are largely unneccisary) Within Windows XP and Vista ultimate (128mb graphics) the image is clear and crisp with no real setup/configuration required. The monitor has outputs for both DVI and VGA, which means your upgrade ready should you be considering changing systems, whilst maintaining compatibilty with your current setup. Exterior and Quality This model is sold with 2 colour options, Silver and Black, although this doesn't affect functionality. ... Read review

19" tft monitor with no DvI port!!!
Review of Philips 190X5FB by njt6

Advantages: Large screen, Stylish Built in sound
Disadvantages: No dvi Port, Expensive

For a 19" tft monitor at this price I was a little disappointed that it doesn't have a DVI input on the monitor. Saying that it is probably the clearest picture I've seen on a tft monitor with a 16ms there is not ghosting or shadows on DVD play back and Games. The screen itself is actually quiet stylish with a black surrond and silver inlay, It has 2 built in speakers which are a little tiny sounding. The picture and colour quality are clear and ...
...quality is actually better than my old 19" crt monitor. The monitor volume and setup buttons are on the right hand side of the display these can be a litle hard to setup as they are not marked on the front of the panel so you have to look around the side if you what to change anything. (Saying that all I have ever used is the autosetup button!!!!!) The monitor has Lightscreen which enables you to change the colour setting to optomize dvd play back, ... Read review

Philips 190S6FS Review
Review of Philips 190S6FS by Jon_Farrimond

Advantages: No Ghosting, good price
Disadvantages: not the best monitor available.

This is the monitor im currently using for my PC and firstly im going to say that I think its a great monitor. While its no longer the best avaiable monitor its price reflects this and its still a tempting device. The monitor provides releativly good (not excellent) features, 8ms refresh rate for example. However the screen reslution and contrast ratio are good. (1240x1024 and 500:1). This means that the monitor gives crisp images that do not have ...
...brightness. The device is attached to my PC for general use, mostly I word process and program on it - for these perposes the monitor is excellent. I also watch a lot of Movies and video files on it. I have never had a problem with these, they come out very well on this device. It does hawever only use an analogue connector, so no DVI at all. To be honest this isn't really a problem unless you have only DVI ports on your graphics card. I've nevr ... Read review

19 inches is the biggest one ive ever had!!
Review of Philips 190S7FG by lynseyb

Advantages: great picture quality, fast response time and looks great.
Disadvantages: NOTHING!!!!!

The Philips 190s7fg monitor came into my life on the 22nd of February and has just amazed me since. I always thought it didn’t really matter which monitor you viewed your work or played your games on as long as it was big enough to see clearly, how wrong I was. Clearer images, faster response times and just simple good looks make this monitor well over 100 times better than my old dell tft. Philips design and build make this monitor look as good ...
...I suffer that with this Philips monitor which I guess is again down to response time although I am no expert. Quite often especially during the football season my other half takes over the TV leaving me to watch TV or DVD’s on my pc which up until now wasn’t nearly as good as the TV itself however with this 19 inch monitor I no longer mind it as the screen is clearly big enough to enjoy the programme or DVD I am watching and the picture is nearly ... LG 1953T review
Review of LG L1953T by danorge

Advantages: Fast respons time - easy to install - DVI-D and Analog
Disadvantages: Plastic foot.

When i bourt the LG 1953T LCD screen, it came with intructions and a installation CD. I did not have any problems installing the sofware. My peronal experience with the screen is very good, i have never got any troubles with "dead" pixels or lag in online games. the 2ms respons time is very usefull when playing online Shoot'em'up games. The resolutions the screen can use is what to expect from a LCD screen. The Design is a simple. What i like about ...
...and guide to install or update drivers. The options to have both DVI-D and analog in. The power is placed on the back of the screen so it have a clean design on the front. What i dont like The foot to the LG1953L screen it is made out of plastic. ... Read review
