As Good as it looks Advantages: Very sleek, Great picture, excellent interface, and easy to set up Disadvantages: Tilt a bit stiff, and it it has DVI-D rather than DVI-I (just a small thing) It's difficult to know how to review a monitor, since they are all pretty much the same. I can tell you, however, that this is pretty much perfect. Sitting on the desk, It looks great, it's a doddle to set up, and is even easier to ajust. You can switch between inputs with one button, and it has a neat feature that lets you select preset picture modes for doing different things, like watching movies. In terms of picture quality, it is the best ... ...is brilliant, and the picture responce is super- fast. The DVI port in addition to the ordinary VGA port is a definate bonus, although its not quite that simple. Apparently there are three types of DVI connections: DVI-A (Analogue), DVI-D (Digital), and DVI-I (Both). This has DVI-D, which is good, but DVI-I would be nice, so I could connect something like a games console ar a dvd player without an HDMI socket. Other than that the only complaints ... LG was the first, and probably the best. Advantages: Sturdy Design, Bright screen, Looks great. Disadvantages: No known disadvantages. LG are probably the market leaders in LCD Monitors, a technology that has largely swept away the old CRT monitor. This 19" LCD monitor for the PC is a beast, in my modest opinion. It has a clarity that could be said is unmatched by other leading brands. Screen Resolution The LG Flatron L1980Q has a screen resolution of 1280 x 2024 pixels and a contrast of 500:1 with colour support up to 16.2 million. Mirror and Pivot The mirror and Pivot "Forte" ... .... Website updates. LG provides support via their website, this includes free drivers and software. Although install disks (Windows drivers) and instructions do come with the screen, but it is all simple and self explanatory. Summary LG screens aren’t particularly the cheapest around, I would always advise to shop around for a bit, technologies are always changing and I cannot say that this would be the absolutely best monitor around. great quality but hard to tilt Advantages: image quality Disadvantages: hard to tilt ...from your old CRT monitor, LG 1752s is a great replacement. but compared to other make, its design is rather dull. Entirely happy with my LG L1915S Advantages: Bright, clear, fast refresh, good contrast and resolution.
