Behemoth with Brilliant Image Quality and Resolution

Advantages: Very high image quality, high resolutions considering its age, high refresh rates possible, solid
Disadvantages: Incredibly large/heavy, the costs are on par with its quality - fairly high

Am I a philistine for disliking flatscreen/LCD monitors? I find them to have inferior image quality, a significant and apparently generally accepted chance of having "dead pixels", you have to be sitting at just the right angle otherwise the colours star ...
