Formac Gallery Xtreme -5
Review of Formac Gallery 2010 Xtreme-5 by
gojo23
Advantages: great image quality, design and clarity
Disadvantages: none found yet
...I previously owned a 17\" Formac but it had been with me since 1997 and was getting a little tired to say the least! Well, eventually I plucked up the courage to spend my hard earned cash on the Formac Gallery 2010 Xtreme-5. All, I can say is wowweee! it is absolutely fantastic the styling is sleek and it does what it says - gives you excellent colour and image display. I really like the fact that it has two usb points on the back of the monitor ...

Best Screen Thing
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD2070VX by
LegendaryMrDude
Advantages: Resolution, Auto-Setup, Response Time, Price
Disadvantages: Doesn't generate as much heat so study is colder!
...obviously I did - an NEC MultiSync 2070VX to be precise. Bearing in mind the screen I'd been using for the last 5 years had been 21" at a resolution of 1600x1200 the bar was pretty much set - anything less would be a significant backward step. With a single-minded purpose, I set about scouring the interweb for an LCD screen that would provide 1600x1200 resolution at a decent screen size. There is a reasonable range of choices here, with prices starting ... ...possible I came across the NEC 2070vx for only £320. It offered everything I was looking for - the right resolution, a good refresh rate (5ms!) with both DVI and VGA inputs. We have NEC LCD screens at work so I was confident that it would be a high quality product.
It came well packaged with European and UK power cords as well as VGA and DVI cables, a manual and a driver CD.
Setup was trivial - the hardest part was taking my old monitor off the ...

Samsung for your PC
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 931BF by
rob1001
Advantages: Great quick picture
Disadvantages: Perhaps too small!
...reviews I own both a Samsung TV and a Samsung DVD player. Itseemed only right to have a monitor aswel!
I do a lot of gaming on the PC and for that I like to be closer to the screen rather than using my TV as a computer monitor. For these purposes it is ideal to have a decent monitor. This model is 19" which is slightly bigger than your average monitor (Which I would say is 17") Being 19" it is big enough to give a better piture but still retains ... ...Check my review on the Samsung tele if all this speaks to you! The monitor isnt very sexy looking. Thereare some gorgeous Samsung monitors out there but there isnt much point paying more for looks. If 19" seems a bit small to you then I would suggest having a look in a shop. It may suprose you but you may still prefer a 22" widescreen monitor, which I would too there just a bit expensive for a decent one :) ...

22" of visual satisfaction
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW by
theenglishviet
Advantages: Bright, crisp display, widescreen, top specs
Disadvantages: no height adjustment.
...photoshopping etc. Anyway, Samsung has always been considered a very well known brand in the world of computer displays. This model, the Syncmaster 2253BW is among the last line of Samsung displays where they actually build their own TFT panels. So for less than £150 from Dabs, I thought I'd snap it up, especially considering the specs that came with it.
In short, the important specs:
22" widescreen
DVI and VGA inputs (with HDCP)
1000:1 (8000:1 ... ...resoultion
First impressions are that this is not a rather large monitor, it is also rather good looking. The thin black gloss bezel around the main display is complemented by a nice clear plastic along the bottom, of which the control buttons are behind and power light is reflected onto. This blue power LED is rather bright and can get distracting at times, although it is very useful if you have left your monitor on without knowing as it blinks ...

All the preformance without the price
Review of Cibox C2201 by
gothicbob
Advantages: Value, Quality
Disadvantages: Brand name
...previously not heard of the Cibox brand, however I was looking for the cheapest 22 inch monitor that I could find as my Asus screen had died and this fitted the description perfectly.
As I was switching from an Asus screen, a well established brand name, to Cibox an unfamiliar french company I was notably cautious. However there are positive reviews everywhere for their products, and I have not been disappointed. Previous screens I have purchased ... ...the Cibox website to see how long the warretys for their screens lasted and I was impressed to find that they also last for 3 years.
I brought the screen from ebuyer for about £135 and delivery only took a couple days. It came with no dead pixels and the colour, brightness and contrast was just as good as my expensive Asus monitor that I had previously owned. The monitor has standard screw holes on the back for fitting to monitor arms or wall mounts.
