LG Flatron W2234S: A great value, good looking screen. Advantages: Great value, thin bezel, Good looks Disadvantages: Only VGA input, poor stand ...The viewing angles of the LG are very good, unless you look at the monitor from below, as the image slightly inverts. The main problem in my opinion was that the stand did not offer that great a range of movement, so i fitted the stand of an old monitor to it, allowing it to move up and down with more ease. LG 22" LCD - A screen as wide as your smile Advantages: Great design, sharp image, good colours, stable base, easy to use Disadvantages: Provided software is a curse upon your PC, dynamic contrast is rather unsubtle LG Widescreen Monitor I've owned the LG W2252TE monitor now for around 6 months and it still makes me smile to look at it. I upgraded to this from a 17" Philips that I'd had for around 4 years and was slowly dying - the cable connection was dodgy, thunderflies had crawled inside and died - so the time was ripe for a new monitor. As with their TV range, LG manage to produce some fantastic value screens that don't compromise on the quality, all ... ...DO NOT EVER PUT THE LG CD IN YOUR COMPUTER. Image Quality As mentioned, the resolution is astounding - especially going from a 5:4 ratio on a 17" screen, the 16:10 ratio is liberating. The psychological sense of room is bizarre and refreshing. Images are sharp, colours are strong and the contrast is generally good. Promises so much, Delivers so little - Avoid! Advantages: Looks Disadvantages: Actualy quality of the product Having owned this monitor for around 6 months, and with no reviews wrote on it so far, I feel it needs one. Personally, I have always liked this screen. It is definatly a massive improvement on my old big Screen. It looks stunning on your desk, and the picture always looked fine, espeically on quick moving action, say I if I were streaming live sport for example! However, it didnt wow me as much as I wouldve hoped considering the price I paid, ... ...equipment instantly writed it off and claimed it was a shocking monitor considering the price. Having looked further into this, I can see see why - tests done on the screen show that the color fidelity is shockingly bad, for example one result is that they are totally off. My first encounter with LG, Looking Good! Advantages: Very easy to set up, amazing colours Disadvantages: Price has escalated recently Back in August 2007 I purchased my computer and was supplied with a bog standard 18inch TFT monitor, I don't even know what make it was as the box it came in was not labeled. At the beginning of this year the monitor started to become very hard to turn on, I would have to press the power button for up to five minutes before the screen worked so it was time to purchase a new monitor.
