Pin sharp. Advantages: excellent quality, USB and Firewire ports, better than competition Disadvantages: cabling, more exepensive than competition I'm an Apple user through-and-through. Though I'm writing this on a PC! I bought this screen to go with my G5 Powermac and installation couldn't be easier. When you first set eyes on it you can't help but admire its elegance and design. Its clarity is superb and you can view it from almost any angle without a substantial loss of quality. The depth and contrast is perfect for photo editing and gaming. Its fast response also helps with fast moving ... ...laptop and, having used the Apple screen, i struggle to use it for video editing. It's just too cramped. The Apple screen gives you loads of space and feels quite 'airy' - if you see what i mean. Another nice feature is the USB (x2) and Firewire (x2) ports on the back. These make up for the lack of slots on the computer. One tiny issue though is the amount of cabling. Another quality Apple product. A+ Advantages: Widescreen display Disadvantages: Could be a little cheaper ...nothing less than perfect with Apple products. I used to be a huge PC fan but with the Intel chips and great designs of the Macs these days i'm really into my Apple products these days. As a Systems Administrator at a large design firm, I have recommended these products over another alternative (Formac for instance) ok so the Apple display costs quite a bit extra, but it's money well spent. Luscious LCD Advantages: no flicker, no glare, true colours, takes up very little space Disadvantages: pixellation is vaguely noticeable (I'm really searching for a problem though) ...LCD! The model is Apple Studio Display 17" with 1280x1024 resolution. It was fairly pricey at £698 (from Computer Warehouse) but well and truly worth it. Being a flat screen, the measurement is true (an ACTUAL 17 inches, diagonally) so you really feel like you have a lot of screen for your cash. And of course there's the massive benefit of its shallow depth. There's an adjustable angled leg at the back of the screen, to make it stand up, but the ... ...7 inches of desk space. This is great, in that you can set the monitor further away from you, also saving your eyes. And the claims for true colour stand up well. When shifting from RGB colour in a Photoshop document, to CMYK, you can see the difference immediately so that you have a very good idea of how a document will print. Also, flat black areas are REALLY black. There's no glare off these screens (which again prevents eye strain). Great replacement - Save on the pocket and environment Advantages: Vibrancy of images, Uses less power than conventional screens, Price Disadvantages: Some videos can appear a bit grainy ...a half decent screen. Benq seemed to be renound for having a superlative range, quality and style. So in that regard I was determined to go for them. It was only when i saw the G920WL on special for under £100 that this abrupted me to go for it despite it only having just been released. I took a risk as there were no reviews on the G920WL. Upon reciept i was eager to get it up and running. In comparison to my former screen, the quality from the ... ...the only thing letting the Benq down is the fact that some videos uploaded from the internet can be a bit grainy when compared to the more traditional LCD monitors and the higher end specs. However, HQ videos are fine and you should not notice the difference too much. However, I feel that they could have bettered this by providing a quicker refresh rate, say that of 200 hz in view of overcoming this monor setback. Another thing going for this screen ... Absolutely fantastic! Advantages: Fantastic Picture, sound and functionality. Disadvantages: Erm.... NONE! Picture quality on this TV is Exceptional especially for 1080p Gaming xD The TV has all the in-puts out-puts and functions i could wish for, perfect. Looks great, fantastic build quality and surprisingly good sound quality. Also the Menu and settings are really easy to use and laid out in a well organized aesthetically pleasing manner. It was easy to put together (just plug base/stand onto TV and stand it up, then plug in the power cable and Digital ... ...easy to follow. The free-view works really well and is very fast it didn't take long to auto tune and found all the channels fine. 10/10 from me especially at the £200 price. A truly flawless TV P.S. One last note; The TV for £160+ on IT247.com is not the M2262D it is mislabeled and that is why the price is so low. ...
