A Good Monitor
Review of Philips 200WB7ES by
Luke-W
Advantages: Good Max Resolution
Disadvantages: Not many customer change features
This monitor is great for the average home computer. It is a decent size to watch movies, play games etc. on it. It had a good max resolution so not everything is cramped together, Im currently using this screen and i would give it a good 9/10. The colour quality is good, The only thing this product lacks is the control to change to screens position & other key features. It does however have a auto-adjust button that does basically everything for ...

Brilliance in a flat screen
Review of Philips Brilliance 170P5ES by
tby4
Advantages: Great quality, great max resolution, brilliant
Disadvantages: Pricetag is a little heavy
...comparing it to my Mum's Philips 150B (i think that's what its called), its clearer higher resolution, better sound quality - then again it costs a little more as well. If you could find it for £150 then its a 'deffo', but it's probably not worth the £250 that i paid for it. Get a cheaper - maybe second hand - flat screen and upgrade more often.
Overall
Not the best but still damn good
I wouldn't buy it again though. ...

Even less than it looks...
Review of Lenovo ThinkVision L192 by
tartupets
Advantages: Bang for buck, specs and features
Disadvantages: active matrix
Lenovo ThinkVision L192 has been in my use for a year now and I cant say anything else to it: It is amazing...
Sleek design of black and anodized aluminum combined with state of the art technology results in a mouthwatering candy for casual users and gamers.
Well, I have tested this monitor with different applications and I can rest assured that this monitor lives up to its stats.
Compared to a 17" widescreen that has the same stats, the 19" seems ... ...them...
Plus the 5 ms refresh rate ensures smooth and flawless motion.
300 candela per square meter might be somewhat stressful to the eyes but during daytime, it ensures good quality...
800:1 contrast gives more natural and pleasant color and looks, to me, even more appealing.
Somewhat not good is the active matrix feature. After I have played Bioshock, then the active matrix changes the brightness level too high and it keeps it there even when ...

Well worth the money for a good monitor
Review of HP W1907v by
calumneilson
Advantages: Easy to use, not that expensive
Disadvantages: No headphone plug, hard to change settings
The HP w1907v is a great quality widescreen monitor, but it isn't without a few minor problems.
It is a great quality screen, giving a crystal clear view and a great experience for both gaming and watching movies.
It is easy to set up and use and even comes with a special software CD to change some advanced settings.
It is widescreen, so is really great for gaming and watching films, but it means you see things a little different from people with ... ...ugly about it.
However, it doesn't have a headphone socket in it. It has speakers, but they are very quiet. And, if you want to listen through headphones you have to unplug the monitors sound and then plug your headphones directly into your computer, which is a real pain.
Also, sometimes the vision can go a bit off and sometimes you get an "OSD Lockout" so you can't change the settings. ...

Idea for gaming or watching films
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 931BW by
womblebatman
Advantages: Great specs, Easy to set up,no noise, produces little heat, lightweigth.
Disadvantages: No height adjustments, back panel is a bit flimsy
I brought my Samsung 931BW LCD monitor around 5 months ago and after doing a fair bit of research (mostly PC reviews) I brought this one from currys for just under £150. Previous to buying this one I had a very old CRT monitor. The Samsung synmaster 931bw is a 19 inch Widescreen with a 1440x900 resolution producing 16.7million colours. In addition it has a 2,000 :1 contrast rate and a 2ms Refreshment rate which make it an ideal monitor for gaming ... ...want to check out the Samsung website (www.samsung.com/uk/) and enter 931bw in the search box on top right of web page.
Setting up:
Quite east to set up, you need to remove the back cover to access the analog (VGA) and digital (DVI) connectors, I've used both the analog and digital inputs, the LCD will detect and automatically switches to the the chosen input when the computer starts up. Once you've connected the power cord and RGB or DVI cable ...
