Samsung SyncMaster 740N
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 740N by Ajish

Advantages: Stylish design,Needs less space,High quality image, low power consumption,Relatively inexpensive
Disadvantages: The only disadvantage is that it looks dim when looking from the end side.

I bought samsung syncmaster one year ago and from my point of view this 17"monitor is really good. And the most unique feature is that its sleek and smooth designing tempts anyone. It requires minimum space. It even supports fast moving games and also movies very well.It is relatively inexpensive compared to other LCD monitors. It does not produce too much radiation and hence less eye strain. The wide viewing angle(160 degree) of this monitor really works ... (I thought it was) An Improvement On My Old Tank!
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 713BM by anonymili

Advantages: Initially it was a huge improvement on my old monitor
Disadvantages: Very poor and slow manufacturer support

...The monitor included was the Samsung SyncMaster 713BM which I'm reviewing here. Firstly this was the first time I'd owned a TFT/LCD monitor at home (have used several at work before now) and I was quite excited about having a monitor which took up less space on my PC workstation, having previously had a Belinea 17inch tank of a monitor (which I won't berate as it gave me good service for a good 5 years or so). TFT means thin film transistor which ...
...in your choice… The Samsung SyncMaster 713BM is a 17 inch TFT LCD monitor which can be wall mounted if required. It weighs about 10lbs (or just over 4 kilos) and offers a native screen resolution of 1280x1024. It has a typical 700:1 high contrast ratio and 300cd/m2 brightness. With a typical 8ms response time the monitor has both analog and digital inputs and also has integrated stereo speakers. It's compatible with Windows, Macintosh and Sun Microsystems ... Read review

Attractive, but out of date.
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 710 MP by jreay21

Advantages: Relability, Build quality, Fairly attractive, Leading brand
Disadvantages: Sound quality, Picture quality, No. of inputs, Menu system, Lack of freeview, Age

...Secondly, there are little things Samsung just haven't thought about. When I use the screen as a PC monitor, I have to ensure I change the channel on the TV BEFORE I turn off the computer. Why? Well, for some reason, when the monitor loses its VGA input, the menu and source buttons become totally useless. It just sits there flashing the power light, waiting for the computer to come alive again. It won't allow you to change the source (or do anything, ...
...be 5 times faster than that! Don't get me wrong - I like Samsung products. My house is filled with plenty of them. This particular one, though, is way out of its time. You'd have to be mad to pay more than £100 for this, you really would. ... Read review

Promises so much, Delivers so little - Avoid!
Review of LG Flatron L227WT by Steboyuk

Advantages: Looks
Disadvantages: Actualy quality of the product

Having owned this monitor for around 6 months, and with no reviews wrote on it so far, I feel it needs one. Personally, I have always liked this screen. It is definatly a massive improvement on my old big Screen. It looks stunning on your desk, and the picture always looked fine, espeically on quick moving action, say I if I were streaming live sport for example! However, it didnt wow me as much as I wouldve hoped considering the price I paid, ...
...equipment instantly writed it off and claimed it was a shocking monitor considering the price. Having looked further into this, I can see see why - tests done on the screen show that the color fidelity is shockingly bad, for example one result is that they are totally off. With default settings the average difference is 7.8 and this is one of the worst measurements we've taken in the last few years. Not a single color is well rendered! In general, ... Read review

Acer x221w 22" TFT - good because of price
Review of Acer X221W by panther23

Advantages: Price, design,
Disadvantages: for this price not point to be to picky

...mount it on a wall. Acer has an analogue (VGA) signal input. Acer compliant following standards:- ISO 13406-2, TCO '99 Display Resolution as we know is an important issue in monitors, because as higher it is as more specific picture can be, more thinks can be displayed at the same time and so on. This one offers maximum of 1680 x 1050 pixels which is good enough for standard use +. Brightness is 300 cd/m2 and it is a weak point but not crucial. ...
...watch, TV or DVD. Acer offers good quality for reasonable price. It is good but obviously not the best one like other top shelf more expensive monitors. I can recommend it for its price and quality it offers, simplicity, design and size. Please rate my review and leave comment possibly. Thank you. ... Read review
