Shiny Advantages: Good for HD viewing Disadvantages: Fiddly cabling at the back For HD viewing, this montior is superb. I have watched a number of HD films on this and the images are stunning. Beautiful bright colours and really intense blacks. The only gripe I have with it is that the sockets in the back for power, HDMI, VGA etc are really fiddly to get anything into and there are two "on" buttons; a switch by the power plug at the back underneath and a touch button on the front. The switch has to be on in order for the unit ... ...touch button on the front turns this standby light off but keeps the unit in standby mode. Slightly misleading. Also, the touch buttons on the front of the unit are not completely aligned on my monitor so it is a little bit of guess work when trying to adjust the settings. Good mid-price LCD with 24-bit colors and wide viewing angle! Advantages: Fast response time, wide viewing angle, 16.7 million colors, easy mounting Disadvantages: Contrast ratio is little low, max resolution is only 1680 x 1050, average in-built speakers I think Hyundai has produced another good mid-price, mid-quality LCD monitor. The best aspect of this monitor is, it's 160 degrees viewing angle with nice color depth of 24-bit (16.7 million colors). You can place this monitor on your working desk or instead of small LCD TV, either way it works really good. The whole family can enjoy watching it, because it's wide viewing angle allows the LCD to be watched from ever you want (except for 20 degrees ... ...is 1680 x 1050 (wide screen), which is not HD but it is high enough (it is better then so called HD-ready), so new movies and documentaries will look very good. It's response time is one of the greatest thing about this monitor. It is only 2ms, which put this monitor very high on the list for playing first person shooting video games, where timing is almost everything that matters. A quality monitor Advantages: Easy setup and tuning. Very clear picture Disadvantages: The stand is a little bulky ...one I bought was the Hyundai ImageQuest L90D+. It has an RMS of just 8ms. Very fast indeed. And I can play all games on this without any kind of blurring. Previously I had a 19inch CRT so I didn't expect to see any increase in screen size. But when I measured the two together I found that the Hyundai had a 2cm larger viewable area! The picture quality is superb and I also find that I have less eye strain too. ... Hyundai ImageQuest N91W Advantages: Price, looks and also performance above its price! Disadvantages: No horizontal adjustment on the stand, built-in speakers aren't the best. ...reviews I decided on the Hyundai ImageQuest N91W as my first flat-screen monitor. The specification is quite high for the price bracket and the design is beautiful too. I expected it to be average when I got it but it took me by surprise in a good way! The picture is very clear, crisp and bright (too bright on the default setting for me) with colours reproduced evenly and well. This monitor in particular has a black surround which I find better than ... ...monitor, the warranty offered by Hyundai is NOT 3 years on-site, it's 3 years collect and return so if you do have problems with it you will have to send it to them. Basically this means they pay for and arrange collection but it also means you will be without the monitor for however long it takes to repair. Hyundai ImageQuest B71A, Ideal 17" TFT monitor. Advantages: Superb picture quality, stylish, compact Disadvantages: Slightly high price, availability (i wanted another one but can only find second hand ones) -----\| My experience - (if you want my opinion and how ive got on) \|----- This monitor has a 17" viewable screen (17" diagonally, this monitor is not widescreen it is square) at the resolution 1280x1024, with a response time of 8ms, and a contrast ratio of 700:1. This makes it more than adequate as a gaming monitor. When playing games with this monitor it is a much more immersive experience than most lower spec monitors, there is also no ghosting ... ...by the guy who hasnt appeared yet. The screen is surrounded by a 1.5cm border which makes the screen appear bigger also. The contrast ratio of 700:1 makes this monitor also viable for office use, making black text on a white background very clear.
