i bought this samsung tv after i had bought a umc tv from currys and i had to take it back 3 times as it was just faulots happening with the product so i spent another 30 pounds by buying the samsung tv and it was the best 269 pounds i have ever spengt on a tv as the picture quality is superb and the sound is excellent and when i play my xbox through hdmi cable it is excellent i would recommend this tv to buy.ik suggest that you never buy a umc tv ... excellent TV for the price, glad i bought it. Loads of options to adjust the picture (plus energy saving modes) Xbox 360 graphics are now much sharper and eye searingly vibrant, and movies look awesome through an HDMI upscaling dvd player. ...by going through a scart socket. The sound is extremely clear, but the speakers can reverberate at high volumes, notably audio with a lot of bass. If you have a speaker system or are using the tv in a smallish room however this wont be a problem. After much fiddling i sorted the problem - the Movie Plus option doesnt seem to do a lot anyway, so its no great loss. The 1st LCD television i've bought and it's brilliant. I use it as a television and monitor for my pc. The quality of the picture is brilliant far better than most other 26" lcd's sony being the only other screen that comes close to this. I use a DVI - HDMI cable from my pc to the lcd to use it as a monitor it is brilliant plays games perfectly no lag or ghosting. Plays HD videos from my pc at 720p and they are stunning. ...blow your hair back but what do you expect from a tv?? its more than adequate. The built in Digital reciever is very good, dont be put off by anyone saying the signal is bad this is with all digital recievers in most areas as they are not transmitting at full strenght i suggest buying a signal booster if you live in a rural area i do and my signal is fine on all of the more standard digital channels such as E4 BBC3 etc. It looks brilliant very ... I bought this lcd tv approximately three weeks ago and not having a huge perso knowledge on the subject this was quite a big risk. I bought this for less than the price they have shpwn here at £560 from RGB direct which are a fantastic company. Setting up was great and there were no huge concerns. I have been warned that its not got the best ability if your planning to hang this on the wall so i would be careful if this is what you intend to do although ...

The picture quality is one of the best i've seen and the only off putting this is the fact that you have to buy HD channels to really get the whole impact of the definition.
