This LG, HD ready Television is a lovely silver and black design and actually appears bigger than what it is. People who came around my house to visit were convinced it was a 37" and it is actually a 32".

This model was bought at Currys for just over £1000 about 6 months ago. You could probably now find this cheaper, especially with the 42" becoming popular and coming down in price.

Picture: I will begin with the picture quality. The picture is clear and crisp. The colour quailty is excellent, although you will probably have to change this when you buy it to get it to what you want.
There are options (you need to use the remote control for this) to change colur, brightness and contrast. There is an auto function that can do this. You can access this via the main menu.
Sound Quality: Like I stated above, the sound quality is not great on this television. I highly recommend that if you use this model for dvds, music or for anything apart from just watching Emmerdale, then I suggest you get a surround sound system. When the volume goes above 28 the sound starts to crackle and the quality gets worse.
You can adjust the sound using SSV on the menu. You can choose between music, flat and speech.
The model has 2 speakers either side which think makes the appearance of the television bigger.
Features and Menu: When you buy the television, there is an option on the menu to 'auto program'. This means you can set the channels without actually doing anything. You just set to run and it picks up the channels for you. Afterwards you can go back into the menu and out them in the right order. Unfortunately the instructions do not make this very clear. Most things you will have to just work out yourself by fiddling with the remote control. I am yet to find a set of instructions that actually get it right!!!
You can change the language, apply a child lock and change the time. All these need to be accessed via the menu. The languages offered to you are English, German, Spanish, French.
Instructions: What can I say? Are there any instructions out there that actually help us? Or are they designed to confuse us more? I would advise you just fiddle with the remote until you find what you are looking for. The instructions are not too bad but still rather confusing. You may be better off aking the shop that you buy it from.Remote Control: The remote control is a nice design. It is silver and white and has loads of buttons, so probably not very good for someone who is not upto speed with modern technolgy. The functions on this remote control are: -
Mute
Power
TV/AV - for your video channels
Menu/List
Volume and channel changing
Individual channel buttons
Sleep
ARC
Text - something I still look for in a telly as I like to look up the cinema times and whats on Now and Next!
Update
Time
Hold
Reveal
Index
Mode
Coloured buttons for text use
The remote control takes 2 aa batteries.HD Ready: A major advantage of this model is that it is HD ready. If you are planning to keep this model for years to come when everything is eventually HD ready its worth buying now.
The television comes with a stand which is in matching silver. (Please note: This is not an actual cabinet, it just to hold the telly up on a unit.)
Overall I would say this television is worth buying, especially if you just use it to watch your evening programmes.
Advantages: Picture, Sound, Size, Experience of new TV Disadvantages: Buttons at the side ae not labelled!
We bought this 37" LCD TV, which is HD ready from Dixons.co.uk. We already knew that Dixons high street stores were good. At this point, the high street stores had shut down, and was only available online. We decided to give Dixons.co.uk a shot, as we thought that they would be just as good. We ordered it from the products page on the website and the website told us that the TV would be with us within 14 days, without fail. This turned out to disapoint, ... ...rude staff, we finally got our TV 2 months later. The cost of the TV was £700 at the time of buying. But I am not here to talk about where I bought it from, I am going to tell you about the TV itself and how much fun you will have using it.
In the box came loads and loads of polystyrene, fun if your a kid, but we didn't think it was fun after all the mess it left when we finally finished taking the TV out of the box. Despite the mess around the ...

LG 37 inch LCD HD Ready TV!
This 37" Television set is an absolute bargin for televsion lovers, and those who love the atmoshphere, sound, and quality that you would get at a cinema screen.
HD is the technology of television standing for high definition. I currently have bought this television on the advice of my dad, who is a electronic gadget man. He currently has his own 42" HD TV, and even though the size is to big for my living room. It 100% ... ...I bought this television at the Argos warehouse going cheap, and they are warehouse goods for £185. Definitely worth spending. When i took it home everything was there, and it took me a female twenty minutes to get it up and running and connected to my sky television, which for those who are unaware are currently running High Definition channels so you get the best from you're movies, and it feels good being one step ahead, as it looks like everyone ...

Advantages: Lovely big picture HD Ready Disadvantages: None to mention
I recently bought this product as part of a package along with a stand and a great DVD player and home cinema kit. I purchased it from my local Curry's the service was fine and more importantly I was able to take it away the same day.
Despite its size its extremely light and easy to set up. It was literally tuned in within seconds.
The TV comes with XD technology which provides a boost to the picture and sound. When using the home cinema kit theres ... ...is absolutely perfect, so much so that my neighbour complained........oops.
Playing a DVD gives a (slight) glimpse of how good it will be once HD takes affect. The picture even on the 37" screen is absolutely perfect.
All in all I can't wait for HD TV when this product will come into its own.
The price for the package was absolutely great (especially when you consider the HD readiness.
Roll on HD !!!!! ...

Advantages: makes you look modern Disadvantages: way too expensive
This product Is amazing but I think that it will come down in price so much over the next few months - one year possibly more but I am very sure it will come way down in price. I do not own one of these televisions but I want one and playing the next generation consoles like the xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii would be Superb. Some of my friends own these televisions and when I watch them the picture quality and sound is so amazing and they tell me it ...

Advantages: Excellent picture Disadvantages: The silver panel does not match all kinds of furniture.
I fell in love with this LCD while I was opening the box. Elegant and modern looking TV that provides excellent quality of picture and sound. I got this TV over the internet but with reluctancy as I was not sure if I need such a fancy TV. But I just moved into a new flat back then, the world cup was on its way and I had those extra pounds to buy a better quality TV. I did my research by looking at most of the big shops comparing prices and quality ... ...was convinced that this is the one I want. It does match the size of my living room and the picture quality was excellent. All I had to do is find the best price over the internet. That was easy and within 2 days I had the TV outside my door. I enjoy staying at home today and watching sky, actually I am saving money by staying at home and enjoying the quality of my TV. I have no regrets at all and I highly recommend this TV unless you have a massive ...
