Lg7100
When I first got this phone I thought it was a bargain. It was stylish, had a camera, colour screen and modern. At first I was in love with the phone but I just found more and more problems with it.
How It Looks
The phone itself is about pocket sized, clamshell style. It comes in a few different colours, mine is black and silver. The front of the phone has a colour screen that is used to show you the time etc, but it also doubles up as a mirror, really useful at school! When you flip the phone open, you see another colour screen, showing all the usual stuff like a signal bar and battery power. The keypad is all silver with black writing on each of the buttons. There is a pad in the centre that allows you to scroll up down left and right on the menu.
Features
First of all I think that the texting on this phone is awkward and annoying. It is so hard to use when you get the phone for the first time. But when you get used to the texting you hate the phone even more for its other problems!
Secondly I think this camera is absolutely rubbish. The camera angle is all wrong I mean you have to turn the camera upside down to even try and get a nearly decent photo but the lens is still in the wrong position! And when you finally take a photo the camera shot is all horrible. It’s blurry and just isn't very good
But this phone does have some good quality like it has easy to use keypad and menu. The call registers, profiles, settings and organiser are pretty much self explanatory and easy to use and understand. The organiser has a wide range of features, like an alarm clock, currency converter, diary and more. The phone book has a good amount of memory and easy use.
When you close the phone, the mirror on the front changes into a little screen, and the time scrolls across it. After a little while stars and stuff appear, its quite cool!
But the games and orange section of the phone take a while to load up once you have entered that section, which is quite annoying.
And finally the battery is good and the first two bars might last about 2 days if your lucky and the last bar goes after a few hours
So I personally think that this phone is totally rubbish and LG should keeps to their kitchen appliances!

Advantages: Neat and good looking, easy to use Disadvantages: Camera could be better, ring tone isn't loud enough
I have had this phone since 11/03. I originally chose it because I wanted a flip phone, and this one was available free on the Orange contract deal.
On the whole it's been a good buy. The menu is easy to use and it's simple to find names, send txts etc. The display is nice and bright and easy to read and it feels comfortable when using it.
The phone still looks good after 9 months, although the mirror/screen has got scratched from being tossed ... ...comes with the phone is also useful, although I always have trouble keeping earpieces in my ear! Would have been even better if an 'in car' charger had also been provided.
On the down side, the camera is a waste of space, the pics are either very dark or very grainy. I've tried every permetation of setting and have not been able to take a decent photograph yet. However, the camera IS easy to use and the swivel screen is a great idea.
The only other ...

Advantages: Stylish, good graphics, easy to use. Disadvantages: Bit too big, poor camera quality, poor reception (on Orange anyway)
I got my LG7100 in December. It was free on contract with Orange, and I chose it because I liked the mirror on the front and the inside looked stylish, plus of course, it seemed to have all the facilities I required. It is now February, and I am on my third handset. The previous two had internal faults, and not because I had dropped them or been careless with them. The phone looks good; it is a little large as I said in the brief disadvantages, but ... ...a phone to be proud to be seen with. It offers WAP facilities, GPRS, predictive texting, a choice of colour backgrounds (additional can be easily obtained) polyphonic ringtones (once again these can easily be added to for a small cost), and also, a very easy to use camera.
However, the camera is only of a decent quality in daylight, as the flash is not strong enough to cope with anything darker. The revolving screen does make it a lot easier to ...

...get used to it. LG is apparently a sister to samsung so functions are all very similar. Once you have entere the menu it has easy to use, animated functions such as call register, profiles etc. The ringtones are polyphonic however, only a selection of 12 and all are easily missed as volume does not go that high. The settings are good, you can choose between a variety of colour schemes for internal and external screens and choose animated pictures ... ...the time, date and a picutre and some stars flashing away when the flip is closed which can be at times entertaining!
Camera: I would say is poor, you have to twist the swivel screen into an 90 degree angle to take pictures and although there is a flash, the quality is poor. I have never really used the camera as it requires to much preparation for those spontaneous pictures. There are however lots of options like some funny templates and continuous ...
