The Flatron is flat (duh...) and looks a look like a Sony Vega TV (apart from being light-grey' and 17's) but the image quality is superb and games and DVDs look the part on it. Although the image quality isn't as good as monitors from Sony featuring the Trinitron tube, this monitor doesn't cost a fortune.

The colour contrast good apart from always seeming a little red, or blue depending whether its set to 6500k or 9300k though the OSD. The OSD is in fact very good and easy to use with a d-pad like interface on the monitor.
The monitor comes with an easy to read, technical manual and an installation disc featuring a custom colour profile for the monitor.

You probably don't need all of that, but flicker free viewing at 1024x768 on flat 17' monitor for £170 isn't bad at all.
Conclusion:
After using a Deawoo 710b 17' monitor for 3 years I can't be more impressed by this monitor, and if 1024x768 is all you ever need then this is recommended.
Advantages: Perfectly Flat, Bright screen with Great contrast. Disadvantages: Low refresh rate at 1280x1024.
I purchased this monitor some time ago, and have been extremely pleased with it ever since. >Value<
LG's Flatron technology is extremely good, and easily sets itself apart from much of the competition in this price range. I picked up the monitor for £135, new, on ebay, when it was currently retailing for £150-£200 elsewhere online.

For a mid-to-low end 17" screen, this monitor features a great display. Having used ... ...the difference. The brightness and contrast are excellent (the first monitor I have owned that can be used comfortably at 2/3 brightness). Colours are vivid and true, and due to the Flatron techonology (which provides a completely flat screen inside as well as out) there is no distortion of the displayed image. The most significant quality that I noticed was the great visibility even in bright ambient lighting. LG's anti-glare coating is very effective, ...

...What a bargain.
This LG Flatron 775FT is an inexpensive monitor but the image quality is as good as more expensive monitors. The screen is as flat as it gets to the extent it looks concave until you become accustomed to it. Much better than any curved screen in my opinion. My only complaint was the geometry was mis~ adjusted out of the box and it was very fiddly to get just right, but it is now excellent... recommended Rock on. ...
