...and speakers. I'm pleased that LG have put most of their money into picture quality. Even if you do not possess an external speaker system, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I could best describe this television as great quality for a great price. It has most of the features and all reliability of better brands, but dosen't cost what they do.

The first point to note is that it looks good; it isn't a cheap supermarket giveaway . The speakers are hidden from view, in fact I'm not entirely sure where they are, even after 1 year of ownership. I wasn't convinced at first by idea of hidden speakers, but can now see how they make for a better looking TV.

Picture quality is superb; I've never been disappointed. The TV boasts an amazing 50000:1 contrast ratio! The results from my Bluray Player are as one would expect. I'm not a big watcher of sport so cannot comment on that.

TV/DVD up-scaling seems to be very good and lacks the pixelation seen on other models. Even when playing video from my ipod, the up-scalling seems makes the picture acceptable at 32".

The 'Intelligent Sensor', which controls brightness is very useful. When using intelligent mode, I've never had to adjust the brightness even with my TV is next to a large window. It also features an 'intelligent Volume'. I find the sound acceptable but I'm not a sound perfectionist. I don't think sound isn't a selling point for a TV unless you intend watching HD without a separate 5.1 amp and speakers. I'm pleased that LG have put most of their money into picture quality. The menus are easy to use and I had no trouble tuning it in. Digital Terrestrial works very well and the internal booster has given me a full compliment of channels.
