I can only tell you of the experiences found when purchasing an LG plasma tv.

Firstly I would like to shout from the roof tops to any potential purchaser DON'T GO THERE!!!!!, this product is apparently always going wrong.

I purchased my plasma 13 months ago and one evening the picture failed but the sound remained. I was never offered by LG to take out any warranty so when it came to ringing Customer services they were literally the most unhelpful people I have ever had to liaise with. If your TV is out of its warranty then tough, you must pay for the engineer yourself.

Why does a TV which cost £1300 only last for 13 months then its components clap out?

I rang the engineers to find just how much a callout would set me back. I was not prepared for the amount stated. The engineer seemed to automatically know the exact fault apparently this is a regular feature of LG plasmas. It would appear the pcb boards on LG have gone faulty, a cost of £410.00 for call out and parts if I wanted them to attend........

these parts must be made from platinum... it is clear that this model and make is of inferior quality.

The engineers tend to agree...

I am still in the middle of trying to get LG to repair at no cost but I have a battle on my hands, the after sales service is horrendous.........BUY AT YOUR OWN PERIL.
