We purchased the TV from Dixons and took the special offer of an Half price stand, which really I think should come with the TV anyway, because its not really an option to have this sitting on your floor, so really ... ...is not that easy either, its helpful to have some past knowledge and experience of setting up TV's Channels etc, Luckily my husband soon got to grips with it.

We purchased the TV from Dixons and took the special offer of an Half price stand, which really I think should come with the TV anyway, because its not really an option to have this sitting on your floor, so really its Hobson's choice.
Setting the TV up is not that easy either, its helpful to have some past knowledge and experience of setting up TV's Channels etc, Luckily my husband soon got to grips with it.
All up and running we sat down to enjoy our super sized TV, Even some friends had just turned up to watch the big switch on.
Just in time for Coronation street, the TV boomed into life, and everyone started to make their opinion felt, The first thing we noticed the virtual surround sound, had quite an unreal effect to it, the actors and voices matched up okay, but some how it still didn't seem real, So a bit of channel flicking with the remote took place, trying out different effects on music channels, films and normal TV etc, and yet the sound although was crystal clear still seemed to be not quite right, my husband set it up to our home entertainment system, but we kept on getting a creepy feeling as though some one was coming in, as strange back ground sounds were noticeable,
After about an hour the TV shut down for no apparent reason, it just switched itself of, after checking all connections etc, the TV started back up again some 15 minutes later, we were at a loss.
This happened 3 times that night, we got fed up and went to bed.
The following day, no switching itself of, but this time the screen started jerking to the right, and no matter what we adjusted it continued.
We telephoned Dixons demanding a replacement or money back, we were told that there was no more in stock and they would send out an engineer to fix the problem, Oh well we thought at least it will get fixed, 48 hours later we got a visit from two removal men, who told us that the TV couldn't be fixed in our home and had to be taken away to be fixed, this whole process was going to take 3 weeks, My Husband was fuming, it meant the whole of Christmas without his new toy.
Not trusting Dixons etc my husband had wrote on the back of the TV with an Invisible marker, which could only be spotted with a blue light he had.
The TV was brought back in the New-year, and the delivery men said that they had been told to set the TV up themselves, so as there would be no more problems, We were told that a internal chip was at fault and that some how it may have been our fault, When the men returned to their van for a few minutes my husband checked for the invisible markings, surprise, surprise there was none, upon questioning the guys about this, they said that the TV would have been cleaned , checked and repacked, probably removing these marks, no chance, this was another TV.
The TV is now working fine, but in our opinion it's still not good a buy, if you sit to close, it really does start to give you a bad head quickly, even on adjusting the brightness and contrasts etc, this still happens, Also again if you get within several feet of the screen you can see large squares all over the screen, very poor quality viewing.
We are now used to its sound, but the quality was far better from our 28 inch. To some up we wish we hadn't bothered.
