Advantages: Unmatched picture quality Disadvantages: a little slow starting up
We recently purchased the LG50 PS3000, and have found that the picture quality is amazing. It truly is different from any other High Definition television we have ever had. The TV works well especially with sports and movies. In my opinion, certainly the best value for the money. It was not the least expensive option, but all in all we are extremely pleased with the features and hooking everything up was fairly simple. We even hooked up our surround sound with out any arguing. The only downside that we have experienced is the amount of time it takes between hitting the power button, and the picture actually coming on, it is a delay of around 10 seconds or so, which I sometimes find a little frustrating.
All and all, it is the best television purchase we have ever made. ...

I purchased my plasma TV a couple of weeks ago, and after a little bit of research into what, for me, is a major purchase, and a lot of humming and harring I finally settled on the LG42pc55 at a cost of £899. My initial reaction was that it wasn't as heavy as I'd expected, making it fairly easy to manhandle on to the stand (which I already had). Setting up was easy, too. Once I had it plugged in and the aerial connected, I just pushed th 'on' button and off it went - tuning itself in, which took just a couple of minutes. It is fitted with freeview, and the picture quality is superb. I also have my Sky box connected, and again the picture quality is superb.
One slight dissapointment is the inclusion of only 2 scart sockets, which meant that I had to do a bit of juggling to get my Sky box, 1 dvd recorder and 2 dvd players ...
