Unlike other chargers which sometimes cause damage to batteries through overcharging, Our Travel Chargers stop the charging process once the battery is fully charged. I bought this phone last year, as I needed an additional, pay as you go mobile. I paid about £30 at Argos (I don't think they have them in their catalogues now).
Slim design - big plus I was quite happy with the phone, its big advantage even over NOKIAs is that its small and you can fit it in a very small purse (which woman doesn't complain for a lack of space in her handbag??)
Few options, but simple The phone doesn't have many options, which may be an advantage for someone, who doesn't need a super-duper mobile with latest gadgets. That's why its so easy to use and it does what mobile phone should do: calls, sends messages and receives. Very basic, though blameless in its simplicity, especially for someone like my mum, who gets frustrated with technology these days.
No gadgets, still fun If you are a big fan of camera phones and up-to-date ringtones, this phone would not be your choice. There is no option for the alarm to ring at different times on different days. You can only set it up for one occasion, Monday to Friday or Monday to Saturday. If it comes to your phone book, though, you can keep you contacts sorted in a selection of groups, there is also the option to create your own group and choose the icon to mark it. Phone allows you to save mobile and home numbers as well as e-mail addresses. A funky picture of a person / animal can be added to each saved contact, so you can see the icon when a person rings. Battery life is not as good as in leading brands phones. It lasts only a couple of days unless you do not use it (it may last up to 5 days then, if you're lucky).
You choose what you like There is a 'quick access button' which allows you to get to your 'favorites' quickly. You can save the options you use most often and enter them easily. You choose what you like, which this is great!
'Screen cancer' Unfortunately, after about 4 months screen of my phone started going 'watery' and after few days I have noticed a bright orange stain, which within short period spread all over the display. I have exchanged the faulty item for a new one, the same model… and once more my phone died of the orange screen cancer (this time I got better phone). I do believe this was a manufactures fault, as it happened twice within under a year. This puts a real bad name on this make.
What's in the box?? ~ phone ~ Li-ion battery ~ charger ~ manual booklet
To buy or not to buy? The phone in its own is not too bad as for an additional handset, maybe even as the only mobile to someone not interested in even slight showing-off. Advantage may be its price: only about £30. Nevertheless I would not recommend this item, because of a disappointment it may cause you (chronic display problem :). It is not very reliable either, due to the battery life.
Advantages: Lightweight, slim , with clear easy to read screen. Disadvantages: Poor choice of ring tones. Some difficulty with texting.
I bought the LG B2050 as a replacement for my ageing pay as you go phone about six weeks ago. It was very good value at £30.00 and is in a different league to my previous phone. I was able to take the sim card out of my old phone so setting it up was relatively simple. (It did come with a new sim card included) I did not lose my stored numbers and kept my existing mobile number. It comes with a very clear instruction book, written in good English ... ...one of the about fifteen ring tones that come with the phone. I was not over keen on any of them but I believe you can download one of your choice if so desired. You can also set the phone on vibrate only which is great if you are somewhere like the library but do not wish to miss an important call. My previous phone did not have this feature and a lot of the time I had it switched off. You select a different tone for incoming texts and messages.

Advantages: slim, colour screen, voice recording and long battery life Disadvantages: Screen broke after a week of use!!!
...of this I found the LG phone number...after 2 hours of hunting through the unhelpful website...and called.
However to my horro they said that although it was covered by the warranty it was probably something I had done. They proceeded to say that they would send a bag to post the phone in and that if I had caused the damage I would have to pay up to £30 to cover repairs and postage.
Needless to say I have binned the phone leaving me phoneless and ...

Advantages: Cheap, small Disadvantages: Limited features
Got this as a simple phone, not expecting much. Easy to use, and not too big. Lack of camera, bluetooth etc. is a downside, but for the price, what can you expect?
Has the ability to access the internet, however, does not work for me.
The phone has quite a small internal memory, so even if it could take pictures or video, it wouldn't fit many on.
They have since released a similar phone, slimmer, and with a camera, for the same price, so steer ...
