This led me to buying repair protecion for it and I'm glad I did, as on several occasions I've had to have the lens repaired as it's not very durable.
I do however use this a lot, as it is also my CD player. As well as this there is an in-built RDS multiband programmable radio which is really very good quality. You can also connect it to other devices, so I currently have it set up to reroute all my PC, TV and VCR audio through the surround sound, which is great!
Not bad all in all, especially for tight budgets, but a bit old fasioned by today's standards!

...About 18 months ago I walked into Comet with the intention of buying a Flatscreen 28-inch TV (I had already seen the one i wanted) and a cheap dvd player with surround sound to go with it. I didn't have any criteria for choosing the dvd player other than it had to have 5.1 surround sound and it had to be affordable. The first model i looked at (i can't remember what make it was, but it was only £149) was very basic, but seemed to be what i was after. The sales staff are very persuasive though and they managed to talk me into buying the next model up - the LG-DA3520.
At £199 it was at the top-end of my budget, but it did look massively better than the one I was originaly considering. I bought the DA-3520 and had to wait 3 days for my TV to arrive before I could set it up.
