I am going to keep this short. I was so pleased with the one I bought that I thought I should find somewhere to write a review so I registered on Ciao specifically to do this.

Its a great machine, easy to use on write once and write/rewrite disks, erasing earlier recordings, trimming out the adverts after the programme has ended, and adding titles to the DVD etc etc.

There are four settings for recording quality, obviously you get more minutes of recording at lower settings, but even the lowest setting is better than a VCR. the highest quality is very good (but obviously depends on the quality of your input signal)

You can take unfinalised disks out and put them back in later to complete recording then finalise the DVD menus.

Multi region couldn't be simpler - open the disc tray and press '0' seven times ... that's all!

Fantastic. Get one. I got mine at 247 electrical for £168.

Advantages: Excellent playback and recording. Extremely easy to set up and use
Disadvantages: Can't think of any. Unit is quite deep in size but this is not a problem for me

...the sound coming from the LG (I have to say played through my Marantz SR4300 AV Amplifier) it was cinema brought home except that it was even more detailed and not just loud. to put it simply I am amazed by the sound quality. So I recorded my team playing and winning their cup match. This was a good test as football matches can be dodgy on recording unike soap or flims made in specially lit studio. However things have moved on the Panasonic machine has become a good machine that is rather basic in feature. It has up to 16hrs recording on one disc, but who would want to cram 16 hrs of low quality recording into a single disc when discs are so cheap these days ... Read review
