...Positive Well designed, compact and stylish unit that comes with a reasonably well written manual. Programmed recording is easy, fast and reliable. Overall the DVD recorder and player is easy to operate. Basic movie editing such as combine, divide and delete part is easy. Negative The USB can read USB flash drives but could not read a LaCie 500 GB external hard drive (portable, rugged) formatted to FAT32 that otherwise works well on any other USB 1.0 or 2.0 ports. Powering the external hard drive from the mains made no difference. The DVD recorder can actually see the external hard drive but would not show its folders. The same LaCie external hard drive was navigated without any problem by a Samsung DVD recorder SH873M. I rang LG. They said that LG DVD recorders are not meant to work with external HD. ...This is DVD reader this means this is only for reading purpose only but not for writing purpose so we can use this for entertainment only like playing movies. This Lg product most of my friend say if you are buying a DVD writer or DVD reader them we should only buy LG product. This is LG DVD ROM means it will ream DVD and also CD also we can see movies with buy keeping this the installing is very easy . Along with DVD Rom we will get NERO CD by which we will write DVD or CD by this DVD ROM we can only burn CD and we can only play DVD. If we are using DVD only for entertainment and for some purpose then we can buy this.If we want to write a DVD it is not possible by this then we should go for DVD writer .I want to say one thing while writing a CD make sure that writing speed is 32x because if we increase the speed...
