The only issue I have with the exterior finish is the cheap plastic panel for the bottom of the fridge, which hides the adjustable feet (for levelling the appliance). Inside is just what we needed. The fridge compartment is larger than the freezer on the bottom, with a deep single salad drawer, and bags of room between the 3 shelves above (with the top of the salad drawer forming a fourth shelf). Having failed to find a stainless steel fridge freezer that was 'just right' for some time, we stumbled across this one in Comet and liked the look of it. We didn't, however, like the fact that it cost £150 more than the white version (£550).
Some online research brought up favourable comments, and a deal from Sainsburys which wiped out the £150 difference (the same deal was available online from a few other retailers as well).
The fridge looks good. The front is simple, with a nice stainless steel finish (which is proving relatively resistant to marking compared to other stainless steel finishes I've seen) and there are no big LED numbers or switches to spoil the front - simply the LG logo, and two large straight handles.

It's a dull grey, and screws into place rather awkwardly (though it's easier if you open the freezer compartment door) and just doesn't have the same feel of quality, and I can't understand why it wasn't attached when it was installed (bearing in mind it can't be there for transit because the feet need to be adjusted).

The controls for the temperature are located in here as well, at the top of the interior, with simple one-button ease for changing the temperature separately for the fridge and the freezer between 5 different settings. The 'fast freeze' button is also here.
The freezer has three drawers and, while being smaller than the fridge compartment, swallows up anything you could wish to put in there (a large chicken/turkey etc. is probably the largest thing anyone keeps in their freezer and this would be no problem here). My only niggle is that the ice maker is a simple separate tray, whereas my previous freezer had the tray as an integral part of the drawer, with a twist mechanism to free the cubes into their own little compartment.
The only other minor problems are the noise and changing the door opening side.
It does seem a little louder than our old fridge freezer, although even with it set against the wall adjoining our bedroom it's not exactly so loud it keeps us awake - but you know it's there.
The door requires a couple of centimetres clearance to open, so not best to have it opening next to a wall. I had planned to change the side of the door opening, as this is perfectly possible, but the exact details are not covered in the instruction manual, and it turns out you've got to get someone 'trained' to do it (and I guess you might invalidate any warranty if you did it yourself).
Overall I'd say this was a great buy at the discounted price, but at full price would feel slightly too expensive when you consider the only difference between this and the white model is simply the finish.
However, we're very happy with the purchase and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Advantages: Good Fridge capacity; economical to run Disadvantages: Small freezer but ideal as a ready-use unit to a larger freezer
We were impressed with the protective packaging that this freezer arrived in. After removing the outer box, the freezer surfaces were protected with a film and all the moveable components inside the compartments were firmly taped to stop movement.
There was a plinth included in the fridge which had to be attached to the bottom of the freezer under the door. This ivolved lying on the floor with a screwdriver and we could not understand why the item ... ...it ran for 8 hours before the thermostats took over and the internal temperatures stabilised.
There is lots of room in the fridge with 5 compartments/shelves plus the four door mounted containers.
Very brightly lit too with easy to use controls INSIDE the fridge.
There is no off switch - you would need to turn off at the mains if required.
The freezer has only three drawers and the top one is smaller than the rest. There are 2 slim door containers ...
