Disadvantages: Not as stylish as some

...with SD tv. The quality varies depending on what channel I am watching, I have used top quality cable which may help. The other thing to bare in mind that despite the description saying its not HD ready it is, well mine is and this can make SD pictures not look so great. The built in speakers are OK if its just in a bedroom but I have mine connected to some Logitech 2.1 speakers which do the job fine. There is a small amount of light creep top and bottom but nothing out of the ordinary and is only noticeable when the screen is black. The other thing to note is that because it is a monitor with a TV tuner it has a 3 year warranty. Overall I am very impressed as I have been with other LG products. Does not have the style of the Samsung but plenty of other things going for it. Will update this when I have tried it with my PC when... Read review

Advantages: great sound
Disadvantages: hard to set up

...The surround system was purchased with my lg tv. I was looking for something that gives great sound for normal tv aswell as for dvd's. This machine has the sound i required and lots of other features besides but the thing i found hardest was when setting it up so that you can have sound from a sky hd system running through it. The optical cable does not work between the two units so i had to sort it out with a normal composite cable, but eventually it worked. The sound look of the machine is fantastic. Easy to use and you are able to up the resolution of old dvd's to nearly hd, if you have a hd tv. There are many options in the sound department from theatre, hall stage and so on and its real easy to change them unlike some other systems i have had in the past. ...I believe that the LG mp3 player is an extremely well put together package. Because of its tiny, size (a thing, which scared me when I got it out of the box I thought I had lost a part or something). Then there is also the obvious fact that it is a mp3 player that is under the £100 mark, which is a big, selling factor. The other part is that LG is a superior producer of electronic goods with a low price mark for a high quality item. I also like the fact that the players memory can be upgraded, compared to the static memory of certain other players.... Read review
